I mean I was suggesting just compensating for the game's weirdness by just rounding to the nearest second, but you could change it to RTA if you want to. It'll be a pain for someone to retime all of their ILs if they want to go for an RTA record though lol

I'm fine with it.

I just feel that this "manipulation" of the game is quite useless and shouldn't be factored in, as it would be quite annoying to have to reset every time you get it, and it's putting unnecessary "RNG" into the game. We could use time from start of timer, which would mean that if your timer started on 30:00 and you got a 29:58, it would be ranked as the exact same as a run starting on 29:59 got a 29:57. They would both be listed as 2 seconds, as they were executed about the exact same. Having the run start at 30:00 being listed as ahead just because it started at a different frame seems somewhat unfair, and annoying to grind for the right IGT timer start.

We could use seconds from start of timer, avoiding the need to redo all of our runs with IGT manipulation.

I've gotten all three, the last is quite rare though.

hmmmm... I've never gotten it to start on 30:00 . Could the emulator be handling something differently?

Something's fishy about how this game is processed on the 3DS. The timer starts on 30:00 instead of 29:59, meaning that all the records can be beaten in a breeze with it (all of our current runs are on gameboy or gameboy equivalents).

I just noticed that your 4B record started at the normal time, 29:59, which is quite confusing.

I'd love this, as I'm doing Row runs right now.

I'd also like to have it be RTA, as the penalty for for making a mistake would be brutal if the game got optimized enough. Also almost every other game uses RTA. The only problem is the Japanese addition of this game loses about .5 seconds over the English version for some reason, probably because some textboxes are slower.

I'd like to request moderation of My Nintendo Picross - The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. The current moderator has been inactive for over a month, and I tried to contact him over twitch and waited for 3 days, to no avail.

It's probably a skill thing. Once I learned good execution for two or five levels, then doing other levels blind became much easier.

I mean maybe unofficially, as PokemonSpeedRuns doesn't differentiate between starters. Although people do still run other starters, but mostly as memes.

There is an easy way to provide video evidence for runs, which is filming the time from the screen that pops up right after you beat your level to when you are sent back to the overworld, which shows if you have any pokemon equipped, which you couldn't have to submit it. BTW 6 second pooch wasn't really that hard, 5 second poke doll was one heck of a grind though lol, I probably spent a solid 30 minutes to try and get 5 seconds.

Yeah it's just grind for the best RNG, which is basically Any% but with seeing how fast you can click.

Or add versions and automatically hide out of date versions.

Changelog. Yeah, but how will we even get the different versions?

How are we going to deal with multiple versions of this game? We should at lease make note of which version we are running the game on, as it is very prone to change. We could also restore versions, as this is hosted in github, so we could theoretically copy all of the edits from one time to exactly recreate a version. We would have to label it as so and say it is for speedrunnning only and link to the actual pokeclicker at some points that would not affect gameplay at all, like on the beginning of the game screen and the changelog page.

Should we clarify when to end the timer? Right now based on your description we could end it at the beginning or the end of the fadeout. I think it should be either when the last mission is starred or at the end of the fadeout, which wouldn't be that hard to end the timer on.

Oh. I was thinking that we could do something like in, for example Super Mario Sunshine. There is a button where you can switch the runs from normal to hoverless. I was thinking we could do something like that, but with Any% and 100%.
