While messing around with the in-game save and load system, I was able to find a way to make the game load a save while already loading another scene.

In order to perform this glitch, do any action that will automatically take you to another scene after a decent amount of time. Then, save your game and click and hold the check button to load your game. When the Samorost logo shows for loading, or when you are supposed to lose control of the menu, let go of the button and it will load your save anyway.

Doing this in different parts of the game have given me different results, such as loading in an area you will need to come back to and using this glitch to move your inventory to the location of that save, which could be VERY useful in runs if allowed. I have also gotten a few interesting things to happen, such as giving control to the player during a cutscene and creating errors like this:

idk if anyone is interested but i am making a Any% Cutscene Skips TAS. it is currently a WIP but i will have it done within a couple of days or a week. this is not using any of the skips i mentioned in my 'New Glitches' post because none of them have been approved for the category. instead the TAS uses the skips in plank's WR run for the category.

right now i have only completed the first planet but i will complete the game up until the tree planet tomorrow.

Hello! I have played Samorost 3 for several years, but I got into the speedrunning aspect of it only recently. Like anyone who has played a game multiple times before, I have encountered my fair share of glitches. In this thread I would like to share some of the things I have found to see if they may be of use somewhere else in speedrunning.

Glitch-1: Menu Glitch The 'Menu Glitch' allows you to open the pause menu and still accepts inputs through the bottom of the screen. From what I know, if anything in the game does work differently in the menu, this glitch makes the game think you are completely in the menu. To perform it, drag the star in the top right corner about halfway down the screen, and press ESC. Move your mouse slightly and release it.

Glitch-2: Card Glitch The 'Card Glitch' allows you to open the mushroom hunter's card game from anywhere in the scene, as opposed to only being right next to it. This could potentially save time by allowing players to move early so when the card game is finished, they can immediately exit the scene and get the knife. To perform it, go to the platform where the card game starts and quickly click off of the platform and click the cards to start it right after. Exit the card game and walk to where you want to open it. Click on the cards again to play the game. This might also be able to be used with other 'overlaying UI' but I have not tested that yet.

Glitch-3: Trumpet Glitch The 'Trumpet Glitch' allows you to get rid of your trumpet. I am not sure what this can do to help speedruns but if it works in other parts of the game it may be useful(?) To perform it, go to the scene with the mechanic and quickly click to move anywhere in the scene and play your trumpet at the bottle right after. About 50% of time, the animation of your trumpet playing with no music, and you lose your trumpet right after.

I hope that for anyone who is still interested in speedrunning the game (which may only be me) these glitches can help with future runs.
