that all makes a lot of sense, thanks everyone for the info!
elk your runs are great keep it up, been borrowing your strategies to improve my play (I don’t speedrun HZD, just play ultra hard main missions and try not to die, and I watch all the movies every time).
wanted to ask another question, is aim assist allowed for these runs, and if so, do you use it? I posted this question generally and it seems like the community decides game to game on aim assist.
hi. seems like some runs start with getting the banuk hunter bow after gathering bluegleam. my feeling is that this should be avoided since it’s not in the original game and not meant to be available early. curious to hear your thoughts.
yeah aim assist. i know a lot of games have a little aim assist built in, but I turn it off when it’s a setting for very hard runs. feels wrong.
watched elk’s horizon runs, he’s amazing. not sure if he’s using aim assist but probably wouldn’t make a difference for him. might have to hit up his stream.
New to the site. This site was been a wonderful resource, thanks to all for contributing.
About to start replaying Horizon, and wanted to know what the standard is for ultra hard runs, and for highest difficulty NG any % runs in general (that’s my preferred run). I’ve always thought auto-aim was generally not allowed, which is to say I always turn it off when it’s an option for shooters.
Curious to hear your thoughts, feels like cheating for a game like Horizon or Uncharted to name another popular one. Hard to tell what people are doing when I watch runs. Thanks!
