Put it to good use, don't let it get away, put a Mon with it into ur PC, that way you can preserve it. When EV training in the future pokerus speeds up the most boring part of raising competitive Mons, battling specific hoardes of Mons over and over again.

Nice find, and please do keep it, because trust me, EV training is boring as shit.

Apparently, everyone has a life changing moment in their life, that defines how they look at life as a hole. I've never had one of these experiences, but I'm interested to know if any of you guys have.

If you have, what was it, and how did it change your life?

Thanks.

I wouldn't like being forced to listen to music, if what you are suggesting is for lbs to have custom music in the same way they have custom themes.

I have been incredibly fortunate throughout my life to have been raised the way I have. I was born into an upper-middle class family, I have very lenient and accepting parents, and my I've grown up with two sisters, which is actually a big deal as I think that a lot of my personality and such comes from that (me and my eldest-youngest sister were very close). I've always been bullied a little bit at school, whether it's been for being ginger or being gay, but it's never been physical and I've always been able to brush it off. Although you may not see it in the way I act, I am actually quite a smart kid (although I don't like to brag). I am a social person, I like talking to people, and I've never really felt ostracized or outcasted, despite not being very popular, and being very different, because I've always had a small but very close group of friends. Tl;dr I'm a very lucky kid.

Some of my main interests are music and The Simpsons. I can't produce music for the life of me (god knows I've tried), but I know a lot about it, and I know a lot about various regions of music as well. I get a lot of my music tastes from both of my parents, I like a lot of the songs they played to me when I was little, and I've inherited all of their CDs, so I get a lot of influence from there, too. The Simpsons is one of my favourite things on earth, I love the earlier series and I know a lot about them, too. Video game wise, I've always been a huge Pokémon nerd, and I've played through all of the games at least once (a few over 10). I've never really tried to speedrun a Pokémon game, but I used to play a fair amount of competitive (I sucked dick). More recently, I've been enjoying Stardew Valley.

When I was younger, I always wanted to do big things, like go to Mars or cure cancer, and because of my awesome parents, I was never put down or mocked for having these dreams. As a result, I had them for a long time, and it's only recently that I've grown out of them. I now don't care what I do when I grow up, but I don't want incredibly long hours, and I want to be happy. As cheesy as it sounds, that is my dream: happiness in the adult world.

I've been incredibly lucky to be where I am today, and I will always be grateful for that. If my share of luck runs out down the line, then so be it, but as long as I'm happy, I'll pull through.

God almighty I do like to talk about myself.

I'm interested to know that if you could go anywhere in the world, for free, and stay as long as you would like, where would it be?

My pick would be New Zealand. Weather's nice, lots of cool things like mountains to see, lovely beaches, and overall it looks like a beautiful place.

Where would you go?

Compared to some games, Odyssey any% routes are generally very easy. There are many guides out there (check out smallant's guides on YouTube), and there are lots of beginner strategies and such. It doesn't take too long to learn the routes, even without muscle memory you shouldn't have too much of a problem with Odyssey.

Yo. First of all, welcome. Personally not a RE runner myself, but I've watched a bunch of RE runs and they seem pretty cool.

Second of all, some general, generic speedrunning advice. Don't give practicing a particularly hard glitch/trick, even if you think that you've got down. The extra practice can and will only help. In case you didn't know, the general best timer for splits and stuff is Livesplit, you can find its website with a quick Google search. When you're doing runs, try as much as possible not to reset, even if there's no chance to PB, mores completed = more experience with the whole route AND more comparisons for splits. Finally, if a game you are running is slightly faster on a version/console that is unavailable to you, don't be discouraged. Either get the version/console, or do the best you can with what you have.

Lastly, you're from London? Cool, I live near, in Essex. But the main point here is that means you posted this thread at 4AM! That's dedication, my friend.

As the election progresses further, so does the competition in it. However, with this manifesto, I hope you will see the obvious, self evident truth that I am the only REAL candidate. It reads as follows:

1.) I will STILL abolish STIs. I'm STILL that cool.

2.) Moving on to serious business, I will attempt to make the forums a better place by cleaning them of certain individual scourges who plague genuine questions with cries of "shitpost!" and "is it worth a thread?". You can rely on me to do this, as I have experience in the matter. For example, I was one of the key individuals who pressed and ultimately passed the "ban Jarhead act of 2018". Evidence of my work can be found here: https://www.speedrun.com/The_Site/thread/gu7le/46

3.) I will also clean up the leaderboards. As many of you are now aware, there is now a law in place banning all runs which do not have sufficient video proof. Well I believe this is an inappropriate, authoritarian and fascist method of verification, that simply will not work for today's workforce. In an attempt to give power to the people, I swear to ban ALL runs with video proof, and make the leaderboard completely trust-based.

4.) Finally, I, with great regret, must retract my promise to make all of your categories a reality. It seems some of you simply cannot be trusted with creativity. Don't believe me? Look at this shit show: https://www.speedrun.com/smomemes/thread/z046w https://www.speedrun.com/smomemes/thread/rtztz https://www.speedrun.com/smomemes/thread/4agcr Once you people learn to make actual quality categories, like 15% (my piece de last resistance), maybe then I can make this promise a reality.

The splits used on a timer to time individual sections of a run.

Like laps on regular timers.

Trying to beat the game with as little progress as possible on the save file, ie. as little items collected or, in Odyssey's case as little captures or jumps or coins as possible

That's very poor logic. If a there is not a thread for something, then what's the problem with making a thread for that thing? Rather than misuse an existing thread.

You're picking at straws here, and you aren't explaining your favourite song. So leave it.

From what I can tell, that thread is just posting a song. My aim here was to post your favourite song and why you like it.

What's your favourite song, and why do you like it so much?

Mine is After The Watershed (Early Learning the Hard Way) by Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine:

The lyrics are about child abuse, and so the writers gave it lots of child-culture references, an almost childlike melody, and loaded it with wordplay. I think it's a mad tune, the lyrics alone are great, but the actual song it's self works very well too, and is catchy as fuck. It's genius to me.

Here's a bonus clip of the song, at the end they beat up a (very young) Phillip Schofield: The twat deserved it tbh.

So what's your favourite song, and why?
