Currently ShiningFace, Deln, Darkos, Blackwayv and I use 2.0.0.0.8. I never realized that this had to be a community decision so we went on running as normal. Well now that i realized this I'm leaving this up to the community and asking: Should we use early Versions of L4D2 to have more skips and make the game ultimately faster? With everything in the earliest version we found the run has potential for sub 1 hour and could make for a proper speedgame.
Update I fucked it hard on the forums and deleted the OP of the other Add-ons thread, Basically what it said was AI add-ons are banned and aren't allowed. Everything else is fine but we should set up rules to restrict some add-ons that give unfair advantages like making characters fullbright anime shit.
I mean only if I could just rollback changes :PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPpppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp
we're just going to have to require everyone to stream then
Looking for Different view from other people on a topic: the add-on rule is pretty limited as of now. Only disables AI changes and nothing much more. I think I have the support of the original l4d1 runners, that we should disable add-ons completely. They add time to loads and can give an unfair advantage (i.e. teletubbies mod, makes common super bright and seeable. Anime anything, makes whatever is changed super bright and very visible (I know i wouldn't have shot some witches if they had an anime model on it))
But that's just my view on it, I'm here to get the views of other people. I know some people in my group disagree with me on the topic because some addons just change the color of someones shirt which is understandable I hate nicks ugly suit too.
so please give me your views, because the add-on rule HAS to change.
how much time does that little thing save? like 5 seconds
Yeah we allow Binds for changing levels and difficulty.
I;ve thought of doing things like this, but people load into a level at different times in multiplayer so it brings up the question: should the timer resume when the first person loads in, or after everyone has loaded in.
If you want a custom campaign added just make a post and I'll add it. Just don't add stupid maps.
I can probably make a Forum post with a form to fill out on custom maps you or others want added.
So the plan is right now that there will be variables for Kicking and Not Kicking bots. Submit your run as Kicked if you kicked them at any point in the run. If you didn't kick them at any point in the run leave it as with bots. This is my Solution for people who are divided on whether or not you should kick or leave bots. I know there are a couple different opinions and like I mentioned earlier I'm on both sides of the opinion.
Anyone who has a better idea please go ahead and comment.
I'm a bit on both sides of it. It's an very interesting topic that could use more discussion.
We can just add a separate category for the time being. Atleast I think that's the smartest thing to do until we have a bigger community and more inputs on this.
I can't really think of a better way to solve this lmao
