So. It’s been a while. I think I’ve found the easier way to trigger a siege, but it would be highly luck dependent. To start; you would need a world with 3 key features:

  1. A necromancer tower, complete with necromancy book (this ensures your dwarves cannot die and has a wealth tier high enough to warrant a goblin siege).
  2. A nearby goblin pit for easy goblin aggression.
  3. Any non-dwarf outpost/town to raid for further artefacts. A combination of these three may just be enough to achieve a Goblin siege in under 2/3 hours - combined with max strength/wrestler dwarves, you could easily defeat all the goblins in a siege.

So, as far as we all know, Goblin Siege is something that is caused by wealth and population. We could be stuck for hours doing a singular attempt. I think with the new update, it's entirely possible to have it happen in a lot less time. With the new world map in Fort mode, we can raid other sides and begin incindiary wars and such, until another culture turns on a Fort and begins attacking back. In my mind, with the right settings we could, theoretically, bring about a Goblin Siege early by abusing this mechanic solely on Goblins. Now I'm not entirely certain this is a guarantee, but I think it's possible. I don't know if it would be survivable early on unless you take the time to custom-fit your drawves to all be incredibly powerful wrestlers or axedwarves and get some really good metal production super early for it, but it's something we should look into.

Hey folks, it's the worst runner here. My commentary in my last few runs was probably a lot more paranoid and targeted than what it shoulda been, and it's far too late to say it now, but I do want to apologise to Ewcongo for some of the paranoia I had. DF's RNG is honestly horrendous. My suspicions merely came from the idea that Ewcongo's run looked too clean, and there was no way of proving if his game had been altered. The rule change came during my WR run attempts for Hell%, and while I am happy with the change, I know most of you are not. As such I'm going to be officially pulling both of my runs down and removing them from YouTube as a simple act of fairness. Both streams will be deleted, and from here on in, I will try keep running Hell% or making better ideas on how to manage and handle the RNG of the game. There is a way to get sub four minutes. Again, I do apologise to Ewcongo for any suspicions or accusations I raised. It was unprofessional to say such things during a stream. I hope to see all of you prosper in these runs in the future. -Noxious.

It's still entirely possible to set up things like custom worlds. If you could set up correct parameters for creating a custom world with all you need to either be the king or have megabeasts all over the shop, you'd have a more stable way of having things like Hell% and Goblin Siege%. In that sense, King% and MegaBeast% would also be possible.

Though if I could suggest a run, I'd suggest Necromancer%, where, in Adventure Mode, you have to try and raid a tower as quickly as possible and become a Necromancer (can be confirmed by going Skills>Raise Dead).
