Hi guys,
I'd be more than happy to assist in verifying runs for this game. If you find you could use some extra help, hit me up. I mod other 2d mario games so this one shouldn't be much different from what im used to, both from a game standpoint and workload standpoint. thanks ~goofy
we are actively discussing this. a lot of our mods are in between a lot of things right now. plus it's the start of the school year. Darpey, you've contributed a lot to this community, and motivated me to do small fire and even helped deliver quality content with video comparisons and spreadsheet info for small fire frame rule patterns. I realize you have good intentions and want the best for the community. I'd encourage you to try and use some more tact in how you ask for things. dont' be passive. pm me if you like, or one of us individually. we want to help you guys out. Please try and be considerate of all the various commitments we all have to manage both in the smb community and IRL. again, i've known you long enough to know you do genuinely care about these matters, and others like it. just bare with us. thanks -goofycIdiotBoss
really like this Roy. I input the times for each respective field and it calculated everything as expected. this is SOOO much easier than manually doing this.
it's swag but loses time if I'm properly understanding your description. basically, once you clip into the pipe and walk to the end, the piranha is still spawned in its upward motion and you gotta wait
good work Roy. So what I could tell, the sprite takes on the following appearance for each clip:
clip #1=both his legs are together/vertical clip #2=both legs are spread/horizontal like he's jumping over something clip #3=his back leg is out but his front leg is vertical
thank you xerox. you are correct, there are loads unaccounted for there; I got the same time as you. I will go through and review the current queue and also add this into the existing ruleset
was this powerpak or everdrive? Im assuming powerpak
got a video link?
i apologize for the delay in responding to this xerox. ok, let's see here. If I'm looking in the same place you are, I'm showing a total of 6 frames or .167 seconds for peach screen til 9-1, all black screens. I'm guessing maybe that was considered negligible when putting the rules together, but I could be wrong
I'm looking at evad's run btw
I'm looking in to this now. I'll see what the other mods say since you did not load the save state. However, keep in mind it's at the discretion of the runner to keep their save state functionality enabled or not prior to a run. I would simply turn off the particular hotkeys/keyboard shortcuts that are mapped to saving/loading save states prior to a run if on emulator if you want to stay on the safe side. If on console, the same applies or you can just use the actual cart to avoid unintentionally setting/loading a save state.
true story: drank coffee at 8pm, and was wide awake until like 1:30am. woke up early and played this game :D Chocobos don't sleep much
@KingOf_JonnyBoy how do you clip into the pipe as small mario without dying to the piranha before exiting the pipe? that was what I tried initially but resorted to using fire to avoid dying to the plant
cool. should save a frame rule im pretty sure. still need to time it
I'm curious, has anyone tried this before? I was messing around with small mario and realized this would save time if mario didn't die to the plant. So, this is the end result of that same experiment with fire mario. enjoy
clip starts at 28 seconds in
great category idea that I think everyone would enjoy. I give it a thumbs up
