Interest seems to have been picking up in 1 & 2 recently.
I didn't know there was a translation mod to be honest. I know it was released in the EU & US in English. I can't see it being a problem though.
There aren't many submissions on the level leaderboard yet but I noticed PC does seem to be consistently above the console times. Obviously it could be down to PC gamers being more talented, it's probably too early to say otherwise, but if there is any advantage on a platform level this could add up over a full run.
It should automatically create the correct files for the card on your disk.
It's probably to best start off by just submitting some of your runs to the leaderboard first.
The way you've got it is the best way.
If you're looking for a good list of channels to follow to watch MKDD on either YouTube or Twitch check this: http://www.mariokart64.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1469226839
It looks like it's been added now. If you need any help setting it up just add me as a moderator and I'll sort it out for you.
I think they chose to have it as its own series because there are 2 other Mario Kart Arcade games. I'm going to look at adding Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 soon. I don't have access to Mario Kart Arcade GP DX myself but that should get added at some point as more runs are completed on it.
It looks great. I don't have access to a DX machine so I can't do any runs or request it to be added to the series on speedrun.com, it would be worth you submitting it though so it gets its own page http://www.speedrun.com/requestgame
Are you loading the ISO on a GameCube, Wii or using Dolphin on a PC?
The Japanese version has a blue Nintendo logo when you turn the game on. The others have a red logo.
