I haven't seen that before, however I'm afraid you can't get to the next hallway after the lobby area from there, so it's useless. Nice find though, and if that worked on the other side, I believe Wernicke skip would be possible. I will test it though.

I don't think that's necessary. I mean if you want to clean up the boards, there's a better way anyway. You can make main game and dlc subcategories for any category. I actually tested that just now, but seems the boards have to be moved then manually, which is kinda pain in the ass.

All chapters for WB would be pretty much same as any%, technically you skip 1 chapter which is the Vocational Block. The same reason why there isn't insane any% for WB, that would only change small portion in Hospital chapter compared to any%.

I moved it there, partly because there's nobody running it anymore. Besides it never was popular to begin with. It's not really that important anyway, whether category is in misc or not. Although same could be said about 100%, I just feel like that is more important category in general.

Basically the trick starts when you vault over the beam, you need to land on the curved part of the ground. Then run to the hole staying at that part. Once you get to the hole, hug the left wall to run through. Just remember to push crouch before reaching it, so your hitbox will shrink automatically once you get to the hole. You can also hit crouch again so you don't crouch once you get out of the hole.

I actually tried the sprinkler skip again, and realized that at the very end the ceiling is lower indeed, and by jumping you go above it. It's possible to get through by crouching at the end, which is slower obviously.

Well yes unloading the level should not be allowed at all. I guess this skip could be allowed, but only if you managed to do it without unload. I mean technically the save point is still in bounds, if it was any further away from the edge there wouldn't even be a question. What do others think?

Do you want to be mod btw c0ffee, I can add you if you'd like? I mean if you want to do verifying.

OK I'm sorry I never posted that skip, I guess I thought there's no reason since it's not going to be used on any run.

On the sprinkler skip head does not go through anything, the ceiling is very high on that room. At the end you see through above the doorway, but never actually go OoB. There are some pipes and stuff that have no hitboxes.

The line is when your hitbox goes OoB. That's why you can go through the hole on sewers running, your actual hitbox shrinks to the same height as it would be when you crawl as you enter the hole, never leaving the bounderies.

I understand the argument for this skip, but if it was allowed, should every run that goes too far even for split second be rejected?

How is the sprinklers skip any different? Instead of landing on a staircase you are not supposed to be on, you jump on top of the fire hitboxes, not going through the ceiling at any point. And I don't know about clearly not OoB. If we thought this was legit you would've seen it 4 months ago instead of now.

Here's a skip I found long time ago, pretty much after I found the theater skip. Video from september:

I had a talk about it with Romeo months ago, and we decided to not allow it, since it's kind of grey area. You get right at the edge of the unload zone to get the save trigger, and could easily go little bit too far and unload the map as you quit, which arguably is going OoB. Now I've seen first run trying to use it and that's exactly what happened.

There's also another sprinkler skip that's been known even longer. 24:50 on this run:

Same problem lies on that skip, so I never used it on a no OoB run.

What category do you plan on running and which platform. There's loads of skips and strats, but some basic stuff apply to everything, like jumping to open doors, which saves frames for every door opened.

Here's a tutorial for any% route . That's done on ps4, but everything works on pc the same way.

Doorclip (running through doors) is the only thing that's patched on xbox and ps4, although on ps4 you can run a unpatched version.

I guess this is the place to request unmodding as well. Could admin unmod Albinohat from Outlast. Sadly, he passed away couple of months ago. As a supermod I can't unmod another supermod.

Yeah, I think crouching is not the problem, if you do it right next to the door, you can do pretty much the same skip. But crouching right at the door makes the door and Chris go right through you, which obviously can be considered a glitch. I'm not gonna decide on this one since I don't run the category, and I really don't want to delete records because of such small skips/time saves.

Well, this is the problem with glitchless category. It's always going to be just interpretation of what is considered a glitch and what is not. We make up the rules and those will stand. Every game will have their own standards, we just decided to have very strick standard, as "intended by developers". This will rule out almost any skip, even less obvious like this one.

Lol, your fault for having almost 2 runs on that vod, first of which did the jump. So that was my mistake, I didn't watch the whole vod to see you restart. It's back now.
