Yeah, there is no problem with having an SSD in your PS4. Just make sure it's SATA for internal use. A bit more info here: https://www.psdevwiki.com/ps4/HDD_SSD
If you are very used to the game, I would assume Any% Glitchless then Any% Current Patch (No Clip) to eventually run All Bosses in the end. But if you want to be sure, you should just join the SpeedSouls Discord server, the best runners will help you: https://discord.gg/0S9je8Fk3vg2CZht
Runs must be done completely offline so if the NPC summons are still available, it's fine to use them.
Please join the SpeedSouls Discord here for help: https://discord.com/invite/Speedsouls
However, remember this is a speedrunning Discord, it is definitely not for casual playthroughs :)
The normal GTX 1650's NVENC is Volta, not Turing, it only begins with the GTX 1650 Super and above. Though yes, streaming + recording should still be handled fairly easily, just (much, depending) less efficiently. In case that matters, I have an RTX 2060.
If the crash happened during character control, it's only natural, Dark Souls III is a very well made game, after all :) You are not allowed to change settings on the main menu during a quitout because it breaks the No Break rule, to start with, so if it happened there I would still reject the run because of it.
The binocular glitch is only on PC old patch for the normal Dark Souls II, please check videos before asking questions, the leaderboards have a lot of speedruns listed.
You would have to ask a runner for their splits file or make them yourself, this is the only option, right now, by the looks of it.
That's interesting but you do not need a leaderboards for this kind of speedruns, especially since it's most likely going to be two peeps submitting once and just disappearing completely like most fellows did for the now removed extended categories from Dark Souls III.
Scholar barely has any glitches and DS2 / Scholar as a whole definitely don't need Glitchless. Beating the game is also obvious according to common sense in Souls games.
You are probably late to the party, especially when it comes to Discord interactions, but the answer should be no.
Dark Souls III just recently got rid of its Category Extensions boards which had Any% Limited Skips and All Bosses Limited Skips, which became useless because of pretty much no activity.
Any% Limited Skips, especially, came to life because of a bunch of runners ready to submit more or less old runs a grand total of once and then nothing more, ever.
Your guide for "Glitchless" is going to be a video that is frequently posted around in the SpeedSouls Discord which is this: or this:
It is most likely not even "Glitchless," but noone is going to argue about that, because everyone is just submitting to normal categories, rather than opening soon to be dead ones. Dark Souls III already had its fair share of these over time.
The way DJNattie has item icons covered only would cause an issue when it comes to the items you use with the Square button (so not the bullets, not the vials), however, there are item dupes in that game and checking resources used in the All Bosses run is quite easy. DJNattie knows that going for WR would mean dropping all of the memes because people do not have time for them in a serious competition.
The old runs are not affected by the newest rules in place. You do not want to cover the HP and stamina bars section, nor the echoes and insight one either. It is about common sense, which some Souls runners (especially the temporary wannabes) did / still / will lack completely.
From what I remember...
Distortion2 is on PS4 Pro + SSD + Digital version. Elajjaz is on PS4 Pro + SSD + Digital version. Santzo84 is on PS4 Pro + SSD + Digital version. Qttsix is on PS4 + HDD + whatever pleases him. NoirStrike is on PS4 Pro + HDD + whatever, also.
I didn't list them randomly, I listed them according to their current times, DLC / pre-order shenanigans counted in or not. One thing is, people complain about a speedgame even before getting into it, this is all too lovely. If the current runners wasted their time only complaining, instead of actually running the game, potentially giving more material to prove their point, the leaderboards would be ridiculously empty. All of this mainly contributes to Nioh being dead sooner than later, in my opinion, so thanks for killing this poor game already...
If I could get my hands on anything, my setup would very simply be PS4 Pro + SSD + Disc version because it is quite the sensible option to me. Am I the devil?
