Not gonna lie, I thought the follow button was just a way to easily check in on the communities you like. Whilst I was sort of right, I didn't know I'd get notifications for every single message on every thread of every game I follow. Is there a way to disable thread notifications unless someone is replying to my message or commenting on a thread I posted on?

Please tell me if there is - if there isn't that's fine, I just don't want my notifications inbox to be clogged up with messages that I don't want to see, but I still want to follow my favourite games.

Hello, so uhh, I haven't been on this site before. However, I and a friend of mine planned to do a speedrun (which had sadly failed) so I decided to come here to get more invested in the speedrunning community as I want to improve my skill in some games and put it to good use. Anything I should do, or I need to know before I start getting involved in the speedrunning community?
