iirc some games that are run on both PAL/NTSC split the leaderboards between the two and that is a similar difference of 20%. I'll put it at 0.8 for now but it can be subject to change
Also you have to beat level 40 to unlock timer mode just in case you havent yet
also @Lord_Blob your 200 score% glitches video is eligible for 10, 25, 50 and 100 too. You'll have to submit them and find the time when you hit the respective score in each category.
The game was updated recently and you no longer have to wait a chunk of time before the fast forward button appears. You can press the fast forward button instantly after shooting! Also I think the controls were inverted? Im not sure since i havent played in so long but maybe someone else who played the old version can confirm.
I've added a "Version" variable (Pre 1.3 and 1.3+) make sure when you submit a run it is set to the right version.
The GBC version is drastically different and not comparable to the console versions plus the checkpoints are busted so you can completely break lap times on it. It should be separated as a different game.

You can complete Collect by only getting one of the collectibles however you have to set up for it before you restart. I dont think it should be allowed. It is a bit different than the snowball trick as those levels goal is to just reach the finish line whereas the collect levels goal is to collect a certain amount and imo the timing should include all the time it takes to collect 5 not just 1. Also there isnt much skill involved as it is jist turn right. It is also possible on Plenty but a bit harder and im not sure if it works on the other collect levels. The other point is that this trick isnt useful in full game runs so its not beneficial to practice the level this way. What do you think?

Restart trick: The very first attempt at a track for some reason allows you to turn sharper at the start. So exit out the level and re-enter it each time instead of pressing the retry button. This is useful on any level where you need to turn at the beginning such as Welcome!, Collect, Around etc.
Snowball courses trick: On Hollow and Cold there are snowballs which you can move out the way of the path however when you press the restart button they go back to their original positions. You can avoid this and clear them out the way by forcing your car to flip over and wait until it respawns you automatically. The snowballs wont return. It's easier on Hollow since you can head to the bowl on the left and drive up the fence to flip yourself over.
Ramp glitch: Useful for Half-Eight, I'm not sure what triggers it but you can fall off the ramp at the start quicker. I did this by randomly driving up against the rails at the end of the track and upon restarting the car will go over the ramp a lot quicker. This effect only goes away after you exit the level. Something similar seems to happen on the Beyond track that makes you drop off the ramp quicker.
Undercup glitch: I've tried recreating it but to no success. I believe this glitch can happen on pretty much any course but it is only faster on some like Undercup where the finish line is close to the start line.

(Not including Regulator since that track can be glitched to get 0.000 seconds, there is also a blatant glitcher or hacker on android which I won't include unless a glitch is demonstrated to achieve these times)
I was timing my runs using that tool to begin with but noticed that you got different results that varied quite a bit. As a rough basis, typically a run's RTA is equal to the in-game time add the no. of flips*0.5 and then subtract about 0.2 (0.16-0.26) depending on the level's start drop. For example on level 10 I get a 5.94 with two flips so 5.94+1-0.16 is 6.780ms. With SPRT I get 6.833ms so the rough formula is pretty close. However you got 6.260ms somehow. There is also a glitch with the ingame timer like 0.2 into the second it will jump to X.60 then jump back, if you land at the finish line on that frame then you "lose" 0.5. I would prefer the last frame to be "When the timer stops incrementing" rather than when the confetti appears it can be hard to see it sometimes.
Yeah sea change is weird, the "secret" checkpoint seems right. It is also labelled as a Round Trip course when it acts like a Hot Laps one. Just a buggy track. I had the glitch happen twice on a any% run, my 24min one i think. So glad we dont have to do it any more lol.
You dont have to reset the game to play those levels, if you tap "Access Denied" five times it will turn to "Engage"
I thought I'd updated the rules for those levels but guess not. Will get round to it. The timings are:
Security nexus: First frame when "Engage" is pressed. Last frame is the instant the screen flashes purple entering the last box
Escape: First frame when "Engage" is pressed. Last frame is the instant the fireworks (lines pointing out in a circle) appear when entering the last box
Message: First frame when "Engage" is pressed. Last frame same as any%/100% when the screen turns white
Prism: First frame when "Engage" is pressed. Last frame is the instant when the outline of the track disappears (leaving only the prism)
I've updated the IL Leaderboards to reflect the recent 1.3 update. Some levels were changed around in Typical Temple: -Mountain Climbing and The Cannon Conundrum were removed -Two new levels, Llama Acrobatics and Wet Llama were added in their place -The old Llama Acrobatics is now called Mountain Climbing -Cannon In D was slightly changed.
I think in other games cheat codes get a separate category because they alter the game and gameplay more drastically. Like inifinite lives, super speed etc. This cheat just gives you access to a character earlier on. I'm sure we would all want to play as chick from the get-go as it would save time on attempts and optimisation would happen faster [playing with one character. Some might like playing as lightning but idk. Plus there aren't many players for this game, imo it wouldn't be a good idea to splinter off the competiton into more categories. We should hone in one main chart, it would be more appealing to potential new players looking to run this game too. It's up to the mods in the end i guess ive said all Ive got (And I have been wanting to play this game again, just not got round to buying a cartridge/running other games)
I think the code to unlock Chick should be allowed for any%. Do you have to complete races in a certain time to unlock new ones? I forgot. If so then I would ban unlock all races from any%.
I think All Races% and 100% should be updated to include the secret cup, and then you could archive the existing runs on there or add a reasonable penalty onto them.
the glitch is the same, he just got it on the first (zeroth) lap, yeah you dont necessarily need a collision but its still the same thing
