We are putting the addition of emulators to a community vote in the discord channel, we will leave it open for about a week for people to vote and add any input that may have been missed before. We can investigate adding additional emulators once someone has done more thorough testing. Once we have reached consensus we will amend the rules on SRC and have a celebratory community race with anyone who wants to be involved, EMU or console :)
Thats a lot of great documentation! I would support adding BSNES/Higan/Bizhawk to the allowed list for speedruns, they pretty clearly don't give an advantage over hardware (obviously without the use of emulator only tools i.e. slow-mo, run-ahead) and even a slight disadvantage especially in the case of recent SNES9x builds. I might suggest requiring input display for emulators or framecount for the sake of transparency, but I'm all for getting more access to this game as it is killer and I haven't had a run to verify in quite some time! Would like to see more input from the rest of the community. This has been discussed several times in the discord but we never came to a final conclusion in the past. Thanks for doing the heavy lifting and documenting your findings!
The community agreed to add 3p to arcade rev 2. so that is live as of today, feel free to put some runs out there
a lot of times if you try to start a dash maneuver when too close to an enemy you will get hit or grabbed, particularly if you are flipping to set up a slide or tackle. The timing of the double tap can be a little tricky too, especially if you try to start an attack or slide. Too early on the attack and it will override the dash.

We were talking in the discord about routing expert, could we get an expert% added to 1 and 2p possibly?I plan on doing some attempts Tuesday when I'm back from vacation. It's gonna take a while to figure out for sure, the strats are a lot different than normal, though standard enemies seem to take the same damage you just get a lot more, stronger enemies earlier. More testing to see if bosses have more health or not, also want to make sure drop seeds don't change
Figured it was time to get a server going, hoping to see more runners and would love to share strats. I'm putting my notesheet together if anyone is interested as well
I support the suggestion. I've never run across a machine so ive never gotten to play but would love to see more runners :)
If I can find a consistent way to do it ill let you know, Ive only had it happen 3 or 4 times and only once without frogs, thought it was my cart at first. Curious if it has to do with the last mob dying to the fire orb in a certain spot too.
I was finally able to reproduce this on stream. The frogs keep the head portion of the boss from spawning so the ground phases you cant be damaged. The delayed spawn of the boss waiting for the frogs to vanish more or less offsets it but its pretty neat.
