for your first question instead of retrying aver and over it can be just one clean and easy run.

for your second question you do make a good point. most of the time it can only be used for PC unless you find some way to play multiple versions or create some horrible abomination with your console. And your second point, yes in competitive situations you can't play multiple games at once and yes that was what i was implying but it can still be used in personal speed runs like a small twitch stream or something like that

i hope that in the future there can be a program that controls all the windows at the same time because with this kind of power RNG can be obliterated although i don't think this will work on something like a Pokémon game because the entire game is nearly RNG but in cases where RNG is a main factor in the time you finish you can play multiple runs at once without resetting and it's technically not a TAS if you use this method because you are not using any tools yet being able to find the perfect run
