What makes one player more interesting than 2 player? Restricting the 2 player mode is an additional rule, I think that that should be the side category

Yes but why is it a seperate category, and why is it restricted in the normal any% category, the one that most people will see and care about

Why can you not use 2 controllers in any%? I thought the point of the category was to use whatever is available, so why is the 2 player mode restricted?

So for anyone who hasn't heard, Nintendo is having their world championships again this year. The qualifiers are in Mario kart 7, hence why I came here. For the 13+ age group, you have to have the fastest time on bowser castle 1 gba using bowser with all standard parts(standard body, wheels, and super glider). This is done in time trials. could anyone help me practice to get better at the stage? I've already gotten to having a 1.22 average and a 1.21.194 as my best time. I got the lava respawn glitch down(at least, I know how to do it), but i've seen multiple videos where people ride the walls and I don't know if its possible with standart set. anyone who would be able to just help me with the route and help me practice would be super helpful, my discord is codecraft587 and i can use some other platform if it would be easier. How about a category similar to Iron Man in Smash 4? You have to win one match with every weapon, or at least one of each weapon type. Same could be done in spla2n. separate sections for ranked and turf too

Multiplayer speedruns are always interesting, plus its more fun as a runner. maybe as a misc.?

yeah I know it would definitely be difficult to do it but it seemed like more of a "fun" category and would make people do team runs if they wanted to complete it quickly, definitely not easy but a fun challenge for a group of friends to do or just for a more casual speed run where you wanna do it quickly but not going for world records or anything

i was just thinking about ways to speed run pokemon and I thought how cool would it be to speedrun completing the dex? obviously the national dex is almost impossible, but I was thinking completing that game's region's dex? you would need both games of that region for the exclusives, the rules could be 1 copy of each version for the region(not generation) and 1 to 2 players speedruns completing the entire hoenn dex for example with oras. make for some interesting runs and require good co op! the hardest part would most likely be starters, so one game would have to be restarted after getting all of its exclusives, but other than that no trading between any game other than the 2 you start with, must reset game, finished the run when you get the oval charm or whatever it's called from professor in gen 5 up or whatever award you get in the previous ones
