As per request, i've added an Individual Level leaderboard to the game. Regular stages and DLC stages have been added to the level leaderboard. Each level has race, gauntlet, and ring master categories. Feel free to suggest more categories for stages or full game runs.

Great to see new faces in the forums :)

I can add IL level categories to the game. Would people prefer just one category for each level (as in the regular race mode) or should i also add in the other game modes for each level?

noticed that some games have dense clusters of records at one point in time, which makes it difficult to see each record individually. It would be great if there was a zoom function for record timelines (in the statistics tab).

In reply to XandoToasters comment on my 4:47 run in tutorial episodes, I have looked into whether or not playing the game zoomed in is slower than playing with it fully zoomed out. I've discovered that when playing zoomed (by this I mean the partially zoomed setting which is the default for the game), that the animation that happens in between each level is, on average, 0.3 seconds slower than if you were to be fully zoomed out. When zoomed in, depending on the level, the time it takes to hit the exit then start the next level is between 2.7 and 3 seconds. But when zoomed out it takes 2.5 to 2.6 seconds. This timing is done by hand so there is room for error by the way. The reason for this difference in time is because the game has to zoom out before transitioning to the next level, by playing already zoomed out you skip that animation each level saving around 0.25 to 0.35 seconds.

There aren’t any categories for the columns after column 15 because i didnt want to clog up the leaderboard with empty catagories, also it becomes less about optimized movement and more just trying to not die, but if your willing to post runs of them then i’d be happy to add them, and also a full game catagory (which your insane if you’re gonna run that haha). I’ll add the categories later today or tomorrow.

I'm very familiar with both of those glitch/quirks of the game. I don't have any definitive evidence of why they both happen though.

"Low jumps" are a mystery. All I can say is that I find that "low jumps" only happen in certain levels (in my experience), levels such as the fifth level of column 00, which I find it happens the most, but still I can't find a real reason to why it happens. My first theory about low jumps was that it was possible the game didn't register that you're on flat ground, so you jump off of the ground at the same height as if you were to jump straight off of a slope. By this I mean you jump as high as the ninja would gain height horizontally if he were to jump off a slope facing down on it. This theory, however, is easily debunked because as shown in your column 00 run, the ninja does a "low jump", then does a regular jump, then another "low jump". Meaning the game does actually register him on flat ground.

As for jump blocks, I've found that if you jump late after the block has reached its maximum height, the game subtracts a substantial amount of height from your jump, this can occur even if the jump is a frame late. I also think that there are certain times in between when the block is at its normal position and when it's at maximum height (the time when you would jump off of the block to get extra height) that you won't get as much height if the physics were correct. What I mean is that if you jump off the block at a certain time, you should go a certain height, but for some reason, jump blocks are programmed weirdly and they have certain times where you can't jump as high if they were programmed correctly.

Anyways these are all just some theories, I'm going to try to look into low jumps more because I have no idea why they happen. I know I have no actual answers but I hope this helps out a little!

To answer your questions about timing, timing starts and ends as you describe it. The last input you do to start the level begins timing, and once you hit the exit on the last level, time is stopped. The DLC Pack 1 category refers to a level pack available for purchase on xbox live, that includes 3 level packs. This specific category is the first of the 3. Each pack has 30 episodes (0-29, each episode includes 5 levels).

I'd like to hear some of the specific physics quirks that you're having trouble with so i can see if i can help explain some of them. :)

I've been running N+ for over 4 years on and off, and I'd be happy to share some of my routes but speedrunning is just a past time for me so I haven't invested in a recording device. I apologise for not attaching video evidence of my runs. I won't submit another run until I have a recorder.

I'm a Super mod for N+ and I can't add any mods, new categories or anything like that. I simply don't have permission to do it, i'm confused because I thought that if you were a super mod of a game you could add categories, mods etc.
