As far as I’m aware, it provides no unfair advantages (except possibly a retexturing of ores to include a thin colour outline, which may count as making them more visible - but honestly I think that’s splitting hairs).
Any of the mods can update me on this? Would appreciate it greatly.

The 1.14 WR has just been beaten again, just half a week after DoyPingu’s WR - this time by Dimeax with 19:30 IGT, making him the first runner to sub20 in 1.14.4 (assuming his run is verified, which it should be - he live-streamed it, and in fact is still on that same stream as I type.
Just me or anyone else think classic strats is dead and buried?
As anyone keeping up with the 1.14.4 meta should know, ocean strats have become pretty popular for 1.14 lately, especially after Doy got WR with it.
Which brings me to the question, does anyone have a list of tourney-style seeds good for practicing ocean strats? It can be any method of ocean strat 1.14, whether hostage, far village, early nether entry, or whatever. I just need practice.
I’ve been thinking about using rodrigo’s 8x8 texturepack because I like how it looks, but I’m unsure as to whether it will render my runs invalid (because this resource pack is designed to improve framerate at the expense of visuals).
The rules state that if optifine is used pre-1.16, render distance must not be altered to anything that isn’t available in vanilla. However I am unfamiliar with vanilla settings.
What is the minimum render distance permitted by vanilla in 1.14?
