So I was doing a Speedrun of the game on my PC and then I encountered this weird glitch (video): I was at Hotdog the boss of strando beach. I had dealt enough damage to him to where he was one hit away from getting defeated. I pressed the button which shot the attack from the right and hit Hotdog. At that moment Hotdog was jumping up to the left and was going towards the left wall. And in the moment as Hotdog touched the left wall my attack hit him. But instead of him coming down towards the ground he just stayed in the air and the key flew up above him so I was now softlocked. I don't know why that happened or how to use it for an advantage in a speedrun but I thought that it might be worth sharing because the glitch may be recreatable and useful for timesave in future speedruns. The glitch is visible at around 11 - 12 minutes into the video.
