It definitely works in the normal route of the game. Either you don't have the correct version, or you're just missing the spot

If you are on 1.0, they won't show up (they were added in 1.2 iirc?). That could be a problem. Otherwise, no, you just need to ground pound on the correct location, which is on the side of the circle in the pool closest to city hall.

Basically prop up a phone or something to record your tv or whatever you're using. If you don't have the storage, you can stream it on twitch then save the vod as a highlight and submit that link.

Seems like a really arbitrary "collect this one specific moon" run. Probably wouldn't get accepted onto ce boards anyway, there have been much more interesting runs that have been rejected.

As a one-time "get out of bounds" category, you would clip before the bridge in cap, under Bonnetter Blockade if you're on 1.0. As a postgame category to do every kingdom, it would just be roll cancel clipping while doing painting cycle, and get out of bounds in the odyssey when it's convenient. Would be a fun challenge but not a very interesting category

CRC to the top of the tower is slower Also if you get the checkpoint it isn't a softlock anymore

is there not a life up heart in the chest at the end of the frog section? I thought there was but I could be mistaken

Edit: there is a life up heart, but the frog despawns so quick when you uncapture it that there isn't really much you can do with it

I agree, this would be fun to see because it is very possible, and it would be fun to see people optimizing the 2p cappy movement.

Pretty sure most of the btt clips are not rta viable due to difficulty. iirc that maze one is very difficult

I feel like this one would have a tough time getting past the CE mods because this really is more of a challenge run at this point, and doing it as a speedrun is basically 2p any% but cap bounces instead of normal jumps. If you want to do a run and submit it to pending though, go for it

I'm pretty sure the only moons that don't spawn above the ground are shop moons which are impossible to be above ground because you can't jump while in menu

I personally don't really care that much about splitting it, but the crc's are not difficult to learn at all. In about the span of a week with MAYBE 4 hours of work I can do both of the crc's that are in star%, and some in bowser's. Especially if you join the CRC discord, the people there are very helpful and make it very easy to learn. I don't think that it should be a split, but my input doesn't really matter.

When people say there is no tas, that is because there is not a reliably accurate emulator, so there is not a tas in that sense

AFAIK the only reason 2p is necessary is for CRC's (or the old broodon't, but that is essentially useless)

Linny, if you meant min caps without CRC, that is pretty much what the 1p category is because CRC's are 2 player exclusive

I know I'm a bit late but I want my input to be here. I am a new runner to minimum captures, and I not only have a digital download, but don't have money to purchase a new one if I wanted to be on 1.0. 4 caps would allow me to play 2 player and get validation for my effort, which I've put a lot of into mincaps, but I think that we should have at least 3,4, and 13.
