I know I could ask this over on OBS boards but I come here a lot more often, and I've tried googling for this but apparently I suck at google because I can't find the answer for the specific thing I'm looking for.

I want to capture audio from a specific window in OBS. I have no issues capturing sound in general, but the most obvious ways of capturing sound make certain things really awkward.

For example, I want to capture the audio from my Mic (easy) and only my 20XX window. I can just do it the normal way and capture all the audio, but if I'm using headphones and someone mentions my audio sounds funky and I open up my stream to watch...

Well, it starts recording the sounds from my stream and repeats that, then records it again as it plays again, and so on so forth. Makes it impossible to diagnose without a secondary device, which is plain inconvenient.

Plus, Window noises that happen sometimes are annoying, and I don't want to capture them. Anyone know how to capture only from specific sources?

Try as I might, I can't seem to find the proper discord for speedrunning this game. I'm not experienced with the game at all, but I'm considering picking it up and wanted to preview what the community is like. Does anyone have an invite link to the proper discord?

Feel like running God Eater 2: Rage Burst but don't want to run the category that's up already? Write me a little forum message here (I have it followed so I'll get notified when you do) asking about what categories you'd like to see added to the game.

Due to the nature of the game though, and how most people tend to try to beat specific monsters fast, or specific levels, and there being so many levels and optional difficulties, I'd rather create categories on a case by case basis rather than fill out a huge list of them all at once and have a billion empty categories and levels.

So, lemme know what you want and chances are I'll probably get it added, and might even compete against you. If I add something and no video is submitted after a while, I'll probably just delete the category until a run for it is made.

So, Cave Story is a great, great game. It's also a great, great game on other platforms beyond the PC. So quick question on this subject. If someone wants to do runs on another platform, can a category be opened up? Or should they submit for a new cave story game that only includes consoles and redirect PC runs to here?

I submitted a run for a game that doesn't have a page setup already. When I submitted it, it said it it wasn't looked at after so long, that it should be brought up.

Me, being a dingus, forgot not only how long you're supposed to wait, but forgot who I'm supposed to bring it up to as well. Oops. Anyone know the answers?

Hey there! I'm a new runner. I say that instead of wannabe because I have successfully ran a game and even submitted it to the site. Who knows how long it'll take for approval/denial, but I'm patient. How patient? I ran God Eater 2: Rage Burst in 9 hours, 19 minutes, and 14 seconds in a single segment. Self promotion hype!

I'm also looking for at least one other game to run at least semi-regularly! Duration of a game really doesn't matter to me. If the run is long, that's entirely fine by me. I want an SNES game. I also want a pony.

Suggestions? Comments? Got a pony to get rid of?
