That wouldn't really change any matters as some people play on emulator, or some people are unable to play on FDS and plus, then there is PS1 players in which we already know that there is no option so they wouldn't have a need to change that variable.
If we add FDS/SDS/other as a option it wont make a difference to the leaderboard as such as there are runners that have good times on SDS anyway
Just furthering ty's point and including some more info about splits, srcom has alot of compatibility with other programs, namely LiveSplit and splits.io.
Firstly, LiveSplit, if you right click and go on to Edit Splits, there'll be 3 tabs
"Real Time" "Game Time" "Additional Info"
In the additional info tab, if you have the game and category set up correctly, it will give a display of the rules of the category, and a few selection boxes for Region, platform, and Emulator Used, you can alter those to suit how you have done the run, then, below the "Uses Emulator" Button you can press submit run, that will then take you to a login page where you can login and authorise speedrun.com to submit runs through your username using LiveSplit, then you can (optionally attach a vid or a comment to it) and you're done
If your not using LiveSplit, putting your splits on splits.io is a another nice way to wub,it splits, upload your splits to splits.io, get the little code at the end of the URL and then paste it into the splits.io url box in the submission form and then submit (easier i feel)
If KJ isnt a series mod then yes, he should most definitely be a YotD moderator.

I agree mostly with those choices jumpy, Shadow legacy might as well be nothing since no-one will probably do a run of that since it is the most stupid game to be made on the planet of the earth, Xen0va could possibly mod all of the tLoS games, KJ should be kept as a supermod i feel as he was the original moderator of these leaderboards (but again, if KJ wants to step down that's his call)
The series moderation team should stay the same. I feel that Ty or Dact should be the spyro 2 game moderator (no offense to Walkers) Spyro 1's game moderator should be either GT or Caite (or even Chris for that matter) just as a skill thing
aHT has to be Dust as he is really the only guy who knows a ton about his game.
In my opinion, the series moderation team are all experienced in YotD and can most likely moderate that on their own.

I think there should be a 38 dark egg categorry as aHT has no categories that have a good ending, you should end the game with 39 dark gems and 38 eggs because i say so
NOTE: This only really applies for Early Ripto
So recently i have been thinking that the timing for the end of early Ripto should be slightly modified, i feel that splitting on the last collectable that has just been collected is rather insignificant as you do not lose control of spyro, as a conclusion the real ending should be a state where you have no control of Spyro.
the change will mainly involve after collecting the last collectable in Spyro 2, when collected the runner should exit the level and then split as that would be the normal timing for an IL split.
I don't know though whether this would be a good change but it would make more sense instead of stopping the timer in the middle of gameplay.
Jumpy, although i respect your opinion, I feel that the category name "Any% NBS is rather long winded and also by the fact that most people prefer to call it 40 orb. 40 orb, literally says what happens on the tin. You grab 40 orbs, go to ripto, defeat ripto, win. In my opinion "Any% NBS" is a way of telling new players the objective but then saying 'you find out how to unlock them by yourself' Whereas '40 orb' or 'classic 40 orb' defines that the player needs to get the 40 orbs needed to win and then win the game like that, regardless of glitches or anything.
