You can see it because the right-most timer (the one you thought was milliseconds but actually was Jiffies) never goes 60 or over, unlike millisecond timers which go all the way to 99 or 999.

I saw the 'too many trees' record video and realized that the time said "15s 530ms", but the in-game timer doesn't show milliseconds (1/1000 of a second), it shows Jiffies (1/60 of a second), so instead of "15s 530ms", it should be "15s 883ms".
