I see there's an Emulator category, but the rules say they are banned and there are no runs.. are they valid in that category?

That's the save I use, so I'm left to just pressing my split timer the same time I press W

I know how to setup auto-splitter, because i use it for RE8, but I have the very first auto-split point checked, and it doesn't automatically start, is it not suppose to start once being able to move out of the car?
