Here is my suggestions, feel free to edit your guide if you want:

  • Attacking monsters costs time. Always try to dodge.

  • Patterns are mostly random, but skeletons always turn when they walk a certain distance, not toward the wall they are sticked to.

  • Walking in diagonal while following a wall slows Link down. Walk strait.

  • You can light the torches sooner, but you need to be centered. Don't exit the room before the "success jingle" appears (to be tested)

  • Hitboxes are hard to touch without taking damage if you attack from above. Beware, and always attack from bottom if possible, including the bosses.

  • Just spam your sword and you'll kill the bosses pretty easily.

  • The Desert Palace Glitch makes you skip the entire dungeon. You can walk in the southern walls at the first miniboss, so just make sure you have 2 keys before going there, and you can go strait to the end :D

It's kind of obvious I think, but if a new build of the game corrects a glitch, the run becomes obsolete?

Ok, good news, I found a game bracking glitch in the Desert Palace. Need to test it, but I can skip 75% of the dungeon :)

EDIT: Got an 6:41 run, will try to do a sub 6:40 before submitting, so you'll see the strat ^^

EDIT2: Aww yiss, did it ^^ I'll explain the trick in another comment tho.

Sorry, I'm not finding any consistent way to not do an early softlock. It's pretty easy to get stuck, but not the following. Maybe another time ^^

The way I do it is I swing my sword, so my character stops in the animation. I'll do some testings and I'll come back :)

Yeah, that's exactly it. But from there, 2 things can happen: you can enter the other room while the boss is activating, or you can wait (neither of them are easy to actually control). If you enter too soon, the game softlocks. If you wait, you can walk in the walls, and take the jewel sooner. However, taking the jewel makes the game softlock/crash. Would it count in this category?

I mean, the goal is to take the jewel. If taking it makes the game impossible to beat, would this still be considered a legit run in this category (no any%)?

I just want to say that I somehow found a way to skip the Soldier's Shrine boss (Armos) but it's always completed by a softlock. That's not really an improvement since it doesn't seem to work, but if we could manage to make it work, that could be nice.
