This is mostly a question for the mods but if people want to chime in with their opinions then feel free.

Recently I streamed on mixer and since all looked good on obs and since I wasn’t locally recording I decided to just grab the vod and was planning on editing it down for a submission. However when double checking the vod there are random sections where the vod hangs for 1-2seconds before catching up to the game (often with the graphics being distorted across the screen obscuring the video).

Now I understand that there is a very good chance that if submitted this run would be rejected as it would make it harder for mods to determine the validity of the run, but I was just wondering what exactly is the threshold for when things like this (if there is one) which would lead to the video being rejected. It affects I would estimate about 6-7seconds of my entire vod (about 3 times in various places).

(Also question to anyone using mixer) I was streaming using ftl which is the lower latency connection for mixer, does rmtp lead to better vods rn?

So after this recent patch has anyone noticed anything differently?

Last night when I was streaming it seemed like the enemy AI has been adjusted? For example, after receiving a bite there’s normally a cool down period before zombies will attack you again. I had multiple instances where zombies chain bit me, I have never known this to happen until yesterday.

When running away from Nemmy after power station, he started to run like he was going to chase me, but then he stopped, turned around and started to walk away like he had de-aggro’d, he then immediately re-aggro’d and sprinted at me.

This is just an FYI kind of thing as I’m not sure how often you all check out the guides section, but I have put one up that shows how to 1 cycle clock tower Nemmy on standard. There is a video as well as a written explanation.

So as someone who also uses a keyboard at work I have some concerns regarding the apartment section of this game.

The amount of strain this section puts on your hands is actually alarming, the stair skating is particularly demanding (similar to REHD). Just repeating this section a few times over I could feel some strain here. My fear is that anyone trying for a really competitive time is putting themselves at risk of injury (RSI).

Therefore in the interest of people’s health I would like the mods to seriously consider the idea of an apartment save file being created AND being mandatory.

I would just like to point out, I’m not trying to be a cry baby, this is all genuine concern, I have known ppl to ruin their hands playing REHD, I’d hate for that to happen to any of you.

Hi, this simply might be a case of me misunderstanding. But yesterday I decided to submit a run I did, I did it all and at the end I got the message saying a moderator will check my run and it should be done within two weeks which is fine.

Yet when I go to my profile, and look at my pending action tab it’s not showing it as pending. So my question is do I need to re-submit or is it just a technical issue on the site not displaying it on my profile?

If you have installed the recent Nvidia drivers and are experiencing issues with your FPS, please check your graphic settings in game!

I found after installing the new drivers that Nvidia had gone through and "optimised" all my settings, but what it had really done is thrown everything on max and was trying to demand 9GB from my card. So I turned these all down and we're back to normal.

If anyone else has experienced similar issues with the recent drivers and knows a fix, please post below so other forum members can be helped.

Just thought I would create a space in which we can collectively compile information on DA. All info welcome from manipulations to gain/loss tables etc

I have only tested DA a little bit so far but here is what I have found:

DA Gain on ammo <See table below>

DA Gain on health <See table below>

DA Loss on miss <See table below>

Perfect Dodge - Rank 0 +50DA; Rank 1 +100DA; Rank 2 +150DA; Ranks3-9 +200DA; Ranks 11-19 +100

DA Loss on received damage is DMG*0.7

DA Gain on dealing damage is DMG*0.9

Dying - -500DA

Flame Nemmy - Standard DA floor is 7000 (if you have less DA than this the game will put you at 7000DA)

At the current patch players are able to use flame Nemmy to lower their DA by approximately 4000 points. The tactic involves picking up the shotgun before the fight. You will need to stagger flame nemmy, throw the grenade behind him, get real close and shoot his heart with the shotgun. The tank should then explode and your DA will lower by 4000+-

As far as I can tell this is a bug in the way the game is calculating DA, there seems to be an overlap being caused between the damage being dealt formula and the da loss on a miss formula. The game gets confused and calculates the damage dealt but removes it from the players DA because it thinks you have missed.

CT Nemmy - Standard DA floor is 7000

Acid Nemmy - Standard DA Floor 7000

For Inferno all bosses have had the minimum DA value removed.

Defend Jill - for this entire section DA is not affected. If you die however you will still lose DA.

DA resets in sewers (Standard Only)

Is it possible to create a tool which overwrites the help option and turns it off?

I think we can all agree that the inability to disable help in this game via options is annoying.

Also, if such tool exists would it be legal for a speedrun?
