I did some testing and it seems you can't keep the boost after resetting, which in turn makes it impossible to do a full run. Unless you want to go ahead and make it were you have to clip at the beginning, get the boost, clip back in the restaurant, then start the run somehow.
I might be able to test this out later today, if it does save a whole minute like death says then it might be worth going for in the rest of my runs.
Thanks! Sorry for the late reply I went on vacation. How much time is saved by this strat?
And where would it be used in glitchless? I am curious and would like to know so I can better my time!
I skateboard and program, I also like to do Pixel Art from time to time but have only just started. :D
Do they need to be on a separate account, or can you just have them available but not use them during a non coil% run. I just don't want to buy a coil and not be able to do regular Any% on it.
There is a wireless adapter made by 8BitDo, which requires batteries but other than that reviews say its ok. You could also get a splitter female usb cord, but I don't know how much those go for. Best of luck! :D
Thank you all for the replies! I appreciate everyones feedback and I plan on looking into one of these solutions for future running! :D
I want to start running a couple games on DS and also want to run some GBA games. How would I go about recording/streaming these consoles. I would like for prices to stay low but if the quality is good enough im more than willing to shell out a pretty penny. :D
Your right, just a thought that I had. I would like to try a longer run anyways. Most likely will post in the forums instead of as a category. :D
Possibly grouping of the categories on this page. Ex: All color games and Bonte Cat games, etc. Maybe even games from certain years. I might try some runs in the far future just some room for thought. :D
All Bart Bonte games (Or at least a hand full of them). Possibly all games which have a speedrun.com page. Been wanting a longer run for Bonte games but everyone maxes out at 30 sec. - 2 min. I would definitely run a category like this if it were a thing! :D
Kirby runs are always pretty fun, its a pretty easy and fun speedgame. Nightmare in Dreamland has one of the most active communities and also has 30 - 45 min runs. You can also do IL's which are shorter. Here is the link if you want to check it out (https://www.speedrun.com/knidl)
Holy crap, great work dude!
Thought it would be cool if the speedrun.com logo on the top left was in the CC font. Maybe a few Christmas decorations to make it look nice. Possibly even get Bart Bonte to make it? Just feel like the theme is a little to bland and needs some spice to make it nice.
The systems I have are PC and thats it, but I also can play on the DS if the game is not terribly expensive. If you need a glitch hunter, I am willing to do a few runs and find glitches.
This seems like more of a challenge than a speedrun. However, if there were a category-extensions on Robot 64 I could see this being a viable speedrun. Also have you tried recording any routing, or know how this would be possible?
Just make sure to keep us posted on this thread, can't wait to see some runs of this game!
Edit: Looks like I found a listing on Ebay, for the small price of $170.00! Plus $20.00 shipping. Saw some reviews as well. Looks pretty hard.
