(Hex) Run logs are useful for analyzing runs, in case there is for example a seeming discrepancy in the video due to lag, a glitch or something else, the logs have a step by step description of everything that happened in the run, so they can be used to verify the run is legitimate in those situations.

You can easily obtain them if you know where to look, so they aren't that much of a barricade (pressing f8 in the main menu is the most common way to obtain log files but may not work on some machines). I did however send a message in the official LBAL discord asking for a change to be made so a proper guide on how to obtain them can be provided in the game rules.
