I can only speak for the runs I do with my coop buddy but naturally the mods may correct me!

  • we followed the same rules for generating characters as solo when it came to coop and did zero looting before joining the session (just in case that means we had an invalid run!) -I have tried messing around with tethering and certainly haven't seen any rules saying it can't be used just haven't found a super huge time save using it (but would love to see some theory of tether summon tricks!)

Thanks Arid! Shame that it purely another RNG factor but saves me digging through plaguehearts and I shall wish on the "golden run"!

Hi all, I'm new to speedrunning in general so I was hoping to get some thoughts around the Legacy mission triggers.

Try as I might, the spawn for these missions to kick in is hugely variable and I have ranged for a 2 minute 30 wait (which I believe is about right) all the way upto 10 minutes.

I have also tried the following to see if I can get more consistent spawns :

  • Emptying all plaguehearts after killing so they despawn
  • Travelling to decline other missions to not have any potential blocks
  • Swapping characters to try and remove mission blocks

The only thing that seems to consistently work to get them spawning is to exit to main menu and resume the community, which clears any mission blocks and kicks the series back into gear. That being said I know the rules are that you cannot exit game so I was wondering if anyone had been able to find a reliable way without the exit function?
