I've been thinking about running this game for a while and was next on my list, just beat me.
Anyway, was wondering if there was any recommendations for emulating this. I was planning ok simply using the latest version of pj64.
When streaming/recording, what's the general consensus about talking over your recording?
I see not many do it, and I don't know if that's cause they're concentrating too much, simply don't want to or it isn't the done thing when speed running.
Admittedly most of mine would just be an endless string of swear words and moans, so probably wouldn't want to anyway, just curious.
I prefer to stream to Twitch, however they've added this super annoying premier thing where it puts a countdown at the beginning of your video and stops it being available straight away. Looking around it appear you can't stop this, which seems insane, is that really the case?
If so I'm gonna have to be making a YouTube channel I guess.
Speaking of this, if I re-upload a run to YouTube, what's the best way to resubmit it? I have a run pending (for over a week now...) with the timer at the beginning which I intend to move to YouTube.
So, like a lot of other people here, hoping to start getting into speed running. Been watching a few runs which are impressive and a few of Apollo Legend's history videos which got me really interested. For now just trying to run some shorter games filled with some personal nostalgia that hopefully at least have a small community around them.
So it seems this place is mildly active, with a few newish runs and posts in the forum. Is there a Discord for this game or is there just not much discussion?
I've just got into speed running and this is basically the first game I've ever run.
I'm trying to record this game using OBS but having real trouble.
If I just capture my screen it works, but because the resolution of the game is smaller than my screen, it comes up as a small box in the top left corner, and I can't find a way to downscale or crop the view at all.
I've tried various other options such as recording a specific game or window and it just never captures it for some reason, sometimes it gets sound, but never picture.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I've seen a few people here with recordings in decent quality, so wondered how they might have done it.
I'm using the version of the game from Steam, called RollerCoaster Tycoon: Deluxe.
