Could warping when first entering the level "Warp Sector" save time (when the character walks from the beginning of the level to the portal)?

There's a "shortcut".You can go to the Ultimate Challenge with a balloon,by going down the platform from the left and jump to the platform under the arrow that leads to the Ultimate Challenge.But I doubt if it can save any time.
