Ok, so Freeze Burst, High Jump and Rear Attack are all legal

I assume Infinite Weapons + Turbo, Invincibility and Mega Machine Gun are in no way allowed.

So what is the general feeling on drop mine, napalm, temporary invisibility and temporary shield.

Are any of these used in accepted runs already?

I had a guy come in my chat the other day while I was trying runs, and he is from a twisted metal survival community where they just try to beat the game without continuing and he said they use a lot of temporary shield combined with remote mines

Sounds perfect to me, just wanted to make sure I was on the same page.

Hey, Just watched some of the runs here. Awesome stuff. I thought I saw a decent amount of freeze burst used and when I googled that, the intrawebs said it was a cheat.

So I guess I'm wondering for this community, what counts as a move and what counts as a cheat? The following is a list of moves you can do just with a few button inputs without pausing the game. Are others besides the freeze burst allowed? Drop Mine Freeze Burst High Jump Infinite Weapons + Turbo Invincibility Mega Machine Gun Napalm Rear Attack Temporary Invisibility Temporary Shield

For a new game I think you just start with "any%", "100%" (since it doesn't seem like you need to do the run and guns) and the ILs on the different difficulty levels, then as the community grows, you add more as needed. It's not safe to assume that any% will just be a straight normal difficulty playthru of the levels in a year with potential skips and wrong warps, so eventually you might need "all contracts -- normal"

The biggest tech I've heard of coming out of the community on the discord (everyone interested should join, this stuff is HAWT) is that rapidly swapping weapons while shooting allows you to get almost the max damage from 2 weapons at once

I don't think adding IL times works since there is an overmap with movement optimization and going to the store with menu optimization

I would love to see some load time comparison between pc's, xbox1, xbox1 s and xbox x to see if leaderboards need to be separated

thread: Bully

A few of us have been enjoying speedrunning Bully on the Playstation 3 using the Dualshock 4 (Playstation 4 controller). This causes problems because the Dualshock 4 doesn't have a way to safely shut down the PS3 when you are done and you might be tempted to shut down the PS3 on the button on the system. This is bad for your PS3 and could corrupt you Bully files or worse do damage to the PS3 hardware.

Plug in a Dualshock 3, exit to the PS3 menu and shut down the system using your controller

You are correct with your first guess. Anything that is a star (so all plot, all side quests, unlock all bases and the hobo things). There are 75 in scholarship edition and scholarship edition has 4 more missions, so I assume you mission count in the stats page at the start of endless summer should be 71 missions complete for bully classic/canis canem edit

First of all, Phorni's runs are the best to learn stuff from, so you are on the right track

There is a segmented run of Bully 100% that has a route https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/282645378480996352/327318239795216404/Bully_SE_100_Speedrun_Route.doc

But for the rest of us that run it, the way 100% works is everything you do is based around going to class. Everytime you miss/fail a class you weren't planning on missing/failing are losing about 2 hours. So pretty much the route is wake up, get missions/collectible/errands done b4 moring class, go to morning class, get missions/collectibles/errands done in between classes, go to class, get missions/collectible/errands done before bed, go to bed, rinse and repeat until you've checked every box you need to for

As you do a run or two and watch phorni, you'll learn when you can get collectibles while on missions/errands to stack em. You'll learn to get the go kart as soon as possible and forget about getting XX kilometers on foot or skateboard. NEVER finish a chapter without going to the afternoon class that day first.

The collectibles will appear on your minimap after you beat geography 5 or you can go to http://i.imgur.com/7HsE1T5.jpg which is a map made by Phorni

One of the most important things to know is, there is more than 100% worth of stuff in the game, so you can skip very few things and do more elsewhere, so don't let all the online guides fore you to do all the running and skateboarding

Me, and a lot the the rest of the community love to help people run 100% and are willing to answer any question we can, however I'm not sure what you are looking for in splits for a 100% run. There is only one runner that I know of who has a set route, and if you make one mistake in the 8+ hour run, the whole class schedule and route gets thrown off and you have to adapt.

I guess in order to help you get some splits we'd need to know who's route you are using and how prepared you are to improvise

-Submissions and Scheduling The way that it currently is feels very respectful to scheduling my real life around my runs.

-Game Selection The current way leads to very good flow. Change of pace every now and then make the whole thing more enjoyable.

-Moving Forward This is my favorite marathon to watch, 2 a year is just a huge treat (although anymore would obviously be too much). Maybe you could try to give the 2 marathons a little different identity, have some games or blocks of games that only happen once a year.

I want to echo havrd's suggestion of doing blind races of cheap shooters to help grow the shot firing speedrun community. The channel could also be used to help runners who make shots firing segmented runs or TASes show their stuff to a larger audience. A star wars relay race would also be fun

As for donations/charity, I keep going back and forth. I think adding a cause would muck up the vibe and layout and be gross. I also think that adding a cause could literally change or even save lives and that would be amazing. Also if increased viewership is a priority, a cause could go a long way too. So put me down for like 1.3 votes against donations and 0.7 for donations

I've been watching the ILs lately and noticed a lot of combos where you have 2 enemies right next to eachother and you manage to slide kill one and then do another slide kill to the other.

When I try this I slide kill the first one and then assassinate the second with a slow animation, or just slide into the second guy and alert him and then have to fight him.

Is there a trick to do that double slide kill or is it just a matter of a lot of practice?

So when you guys are doing full runs of the game and submitting your in game times, are you going through and adding up the in game time of every level or is there a menu that tells you in game time somewhere?
