We definitely need another mod because the other mods are busy with IRL stuff.
The reason for newdark is because old dark can be a huge pain to record/stream. It took me 5 months or so to be able to just record/stream Thief 1 on old dark. That is with a lot of time and help that I paid for as well. Thief 2 is the same with old dark. It's really hard to get working properly, let alone streaming it. You could get a digital copy if the cds inconvenience you. I googled it and found a few sites with digital the copy.
I'll put my two cents in which I rarely do. I would like to keep Thief as it is because any new change could cause advantages or disadvantages. No one really knows about G2D and It's not like Thief TDP is not available. I don't see a debate about it unless it's a last resort. I had hard copies of Thief 1 and 2. I think it's great we are able to have debates and share our thoughts without tension or anger but we need to keep the rules strict and it should be a very serious matter to consider changes to anything. We are all here for the same reason, our passion for Thief. I feel the way that Jake has been running things has been great because it deters cheaters. We should make it harder for cheaters if we can.

did you ever have the problem where shadowplay turns off after you do screen capture then start up thief gold?
ah ok. Ithink the GoG version does too. I can't play the unpatched cd version without crashing. I'll keep trying.

I'm not using OBS but when I did I tried everything. A plugin got the game to work but I have never had menu/loading screen/shop show up. I would only get game play. I have tried different versions of OBS, with or without plugins, different versions of Thief gold, and geforce experience. I have spent hours trying to figure out what is wrong. OBS at least doesn't drop the recording (just shows black screen) when I hit the loading menus etc. Geforce experience will only stream when I hit alt 9 during game and will instantly cut off when I hit any load screen. The only thing I can think of would be what patch you used to make Thief Gold work. I used ddfix and some random widescreen one but still no menus.
I have CD version and GoG version because I wanted to be see if anything was different. Thank you for your help!
I have a 970 with the latest version. The card makes a difference? I used old and new obs 32/64 bit with plugins. I can't get menu/shop/load screens no matter what I do. Even when geforce experience/shadowplay was streaming Thief Gold, I never saw the menu/load screens/shop.
What version did you download? Geforce experience shuts down when I stream/record then switch to Thief Gold.

I want to know if I have to show the emulator I'm using and if so how would I do that? I heard that using the SNES as opposed to an emulator is actually faster for response time, is this true? Thank you guys for your time!
That key would make racing impossible to be balanced. I didn't even think about that.
I want to learn Theif gold. I'm learning a little bit through Pitp0. It seems no one is running it. Pitp0 was talking about trying to get a better time but hasn't played it in a little bit.
We could race or speed run different categories. I have my 100% secrets/loots but I never ran everything in one go so I don't know how consistent I would be with that. (A lot of save states)
