Sure. All valid points. I think the best way would be to seperate them into sections from this point forward. It will be up to the players to submit for the right tab (auto fire or not), since I dont have the eye to discern who is , or is not using it. I will try to set up a seperate category for that now. The only concern is that players may try to cheat thier way into the wrong category, using auto fire. It may require some community feedback to remove or re submit those runs. It could cause some confusion.

Interesting theory. I was also thinking it might have been headshotting them. It would be great to know how to time those head shots each time as its hard for me to line it up visually. I do the melee attacks when the enemy is grounded so its odd that it hits them differently somtimes. Maybe it hits them just as they are ggetting out of the stun but really not sure how to hit that spot or trigger that damage consistantly. It would really shorten that fight. The shotgunning method is much more popular and may be much faster. This was just a method I used many years ago and it fit my playstyle nicely so I went with the stun grenade, melee rocket combo pretty much purely.

Glad you found it interesting. No problem. TheRipper999 on here said the speedrunning forum might find it useful, so figured Id drop the info in here. I probably died for 10 or 20 hours on that dual bogie checkpoint my first time 9 years ago, so I had alot of time to find the glitch, ha ha. What do you mean exactly by it happening based on FPS ? I can tell you that Ive done this glitch on both the Xbox 360 version and the latest remastered version which I played on Xbox Series X, if that helps. Im not sure if the remaster has a better framerate. Maybe someone can do it consistantly. Ive seen alot of insane frame perfect runs in speedrunning.

Someone might find this useful for speedrunning. I found that sometimes I can get double melee damage at the beginning of the dual bogie fight. This is on God Hard mode,

You can see that first hit does double damage. I use that sliding melee strike with the rocket launcher, and it seems by triggering the melee input a little early it increases the chance of double damage. I still cant trigger it consistantly but I noticed this through hours of grinding this fight. I was never speedrunning this game but Ive never once heard this mentioned. Maybe its not a glitch and something else. Any ideas? Let me know if you find it useful.

Sounds like an awesome idea. I actually have a few 3 minute runs on Holland, Ice level and a 5 minute new york run on hard. I got these during casual playing but can always improve. I was just going for beating the game on hard with Axel and realised I was moving very fast.
