Hey, I'm having a problem with the game. I have Jump binded to the mousewheel and all, but it doesn't work ? It jumps, yeah, but there's like a cooldown. It takes seconds to let me jump again. Is this a problem for me only ?
I was going to speedrun Hexen 2, but saw that the last mod login was 5 months ago! And the other a whole year! I get its not a very popular game with few runs but don't think they'd be suddenly returning to accept my run ? I'll submit my first run, but what then if the mods don't see it ?
Trying to get into speedrunning the game but there's no bunnyhop tools like other games and there's no guides and stuff. Anyone out there to help ?
I was going to download it but it just sends me to google drive and it tells me access denied, I need to send a request to access the file.
Trying to get into it, and I'd rather do it on Requiem. Is there any differences in question of the routes or glitches ?
Hi, sorry its just that smashing the living hell out of the square button and circle button to skip cutscenes or to use the skateboard can be really tiring on the thumb and hurt after a while. I wanted to ask if its allowed to know if I have to put up with that or if the Steam Controller's turbo mode would be allowed for those two buttons ? Even if its at a low Repeat rate. Anything that can ease smashing the button (which is through almost the entire run) would be appreciated. It could be considered cheating, which is why I'm asking beforehand.
If you reset the console on the game over screen, you can return to the stage you were last at. Or is it a cheat in the settings screen ? Either ways, is it allowed ? I remember using it to beat the game. It isn't mentioned in the rules if it is or not allowed. And isn't like I gain any advantage besides just being able to continue the game with in game features (Since you dont need outside cheats like game shark and that stuff). I think you lose more time, but allows you to finish a run at least.
I'm sorry to ask. I'm very interested in speedrunning a certain game, but seems like the game isn't too popular, and the mods are very inactive. One of them was last seen 6 months ago. A lot needs to be updated about the game, like the different ports and etc. And the game requires verification to have your run accepted. If the mods are inactive, how would they accept my run or deny it ? I thought of seeing how to become a mod for the game myself, since I'm quite active, I've done research as to cheating and how to catch it, where you can spot splices and etc, and what would be an oddity for the game.
Would a run on the Anniversary collection be allowed ? I don't have a capture card to record off my mega drive, and I'm not fund of playing on my PC with emulators.
Recently they added the Deathless (Is that the name?) WAD, and would that one count too for the anthology ?
