Well, like I said, everything deleted. "it was a meme lololol" We all have fun with silly categories, but of legit speedruns. I don't want to be on a site where it's ok to make joke leaderboards of fake speedruns.

I would like to request that the leaderboard moderation of "Ghost Rider" gets passed to Anutim. The only moderator of the game accepted a fake run (which is 3 minutes long, in a game that takes 1h+), with a modified screenshot of the in game time as "proof", as a joke, and after Anutim (who is actually running the game) called it out, the moderator, the person who posted the fake run, and their group of friends started to sarcastically make a joke out of him. Edit: In case everything gets deleted, everything was screenshotted. "epicdudeguy" is not fit to moderate any of the leaderboards he is a mod of, since any of the games he is moderating has a chance of becoming his little "joke fake runs playground" at any point.

Is this really being fun for you guys? "omg let's pick an irrelevant game, trash the leaderboard and sarcastically make fun of the guy who actually gives a shit" Have you ever considered that there might be people who enjoy the game, and when they search for the leaderboards, see this childish joke? Have fun at your circlejerk party at ESA or something.

As long as the division exists, Subcategories, definitely.

It's not interesting at all to see a unified "any%" ranking that puts all of them together. Looking at the manip times (as the fastest possible of the game) and seeing no-manip runs crumpled together doesn't make sense, and it's not what is looked for. Same when looking for no manip runs and having to toggle off the manip ones or look for "No".

Regarding the philosophical definition of "no manip" and how much it relies on good faith, that's a very, very long and separate discussion.

An edit just to note >all< the possibilities: Suppose that no manip becomes a bust and there's no trust anymore. The worst case scenario would be a misc or extension category, because it's still the most significant way people have ever speedran the game, and may do so and care about their times in the future. Therefore the division would still exist.

This made my game screen completely pitch-black, do you know what might be the cause?

Are there any differences on the WWP DM and WA's? There's now a category created for the WA Deathmatch.

Guys I KNOW it's difficult, but picture the leaderboards this way: Does it look simpler and more efficient? It's because it is. HOLY SHIT out of ALL the possibilities, the FM Community strikes again and does a really, really bad choice. You realize that the "misc" section is only useful when the game has a lot of categories, right? And FM has like, four (if you assume that "100%" is a speedrun, which it isn't). What's so difficult about putting Any% - NCD, Trading, No THTD as subcategories, as well as NG+ - English, Japanese? (or "hacked cards%" since apparently nobody who has the pocketstation knows which cards you can actually get) Do you HAVE to put every single thing that the oldboys FM crew despises as "Misc", and in a purposely unorganized manner?

And yeah - Rather than making actual significant changes such as compiling the ruleset the way I posted on that google doc and simple sub-category splits, instead, let's move everything to the "misc" section and add SEASONS, which is a very bad idea that will serve no purpose, to it as well.

No wonder that everyone that isn't brazilian is repelled from this game and community. Keep making bad changes and not knowing how to run a speedrun leaderboard after 5 years of not-trying.

So, regardless if RNG Manip becomes a sub-category or not, will the leaderboards stay like a little mess, instead of just making Any% subcategories for unrestricted and no-thtd as well as NG+ japanese and english?

Also the ruleset descriptions will stay like those line-skipping paragraph-long things that nobody can read without taking notes not to get lost?

Guys, these changes take like 2 clicks each, and the leaderboards would look MUCH EASIER to follow.

I also dislike segregating categories / sub-categories on something that is essentially only determined by intentions & good-faith, rather than a technical ruling, but at this point I would side on the playerpool culture, in which the most popular method is still no manip, both for doing the person's first completion or striving for a good time. We could argue that manipulating anything that isn't the starter deck is almost always 100% verifiable within realistic runs (unless someone decides to sneak some Rex Beast Fangs campaign bcd drop or something). All in all I think that veryfying runs on someone's intentions can be as difficult or arbitrary as other things, and that it wouldn't be a problem.

Aside for that, even if manip still remains a toggle, I still think duping / unrestricted / no thtd should be sub-categories. Cleans up the view, makes things simpler, more dynamic, etc.

And guys, keep in mind that "pocketstation" is only an useful distinction in the unrestricted form of Any% (or if someone ever wants to do 100% jp. version). Everything else either bans it, and NG+ rulesets only require which cards are banned (because there's no use for a pocketstation in the middle of that run, as well as card duping).

Hey guys, could you add a "State" option for brazilian speedrunners? So that it shows in the profile one of the 26 states or the federal district. If possible, could you make it show the state flag instead of the country one on leaderboards? Thanks!

Amazing work, GMS. Great job redhot and gcah also for trying to complete runs every time a better strat gets discovered as well. Shoutouts to the RNG manip crew, in general, for contributing to make this game faster in more viable ways! I hope campaign MBD gets found so that I can run manip + card cloning US ver. just so you guys can cringe really hard :D

So you're thinking about segregating a speedrun under the policy:

"Don't reset the console as you wish before and during the run, and don't press new game in the time you wish as well"

I mean, if there's anywhere that this make sense it's here I guess.

Editing: The smart move would be to make a "RNG Manipulation" option on the leaderboards, which can be Yes or No, but without segregating the leaderboard. That way you know which ones used manip (as a STRATEGY distinction, NOT RESTRICTION), and you can compare as you wish, and still doesnt make a division that is impossible to define.

I would like you guys to really think about this - do you want this game to be faster or do you want to hold on to the old ways of running FM so badly that it costs the whole purpose of SPEEDRUNNING? Relax, and whenever you race with your friends just put "no manip" as a general agreement. The fun is still there.

"100%" still being called a "speedrun" baffles me to this day...

I feel like it should be made clear here that Mergy's times are being removed due to cheating, not because "people don't want him" or that he's doing us a favor due to his PAL console maybe being a liability. Many people can be under the impression that he is the victim of a modchipped console malfunction, which is something that the evidence does not point out to - and we don't even know if it could. That obviously doesn't take away his right to make his defense (nothing ever should), but crediting his story should not be the default in the situation. Zero bad blood attached to this post.

I request a change for the leaderboard moderation of Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories ( http://www.speedrun.com/Yu-Gi-Oh_Forbidden_Memories ). Rules, categories, and simple things such as shortening the game's URL, are completely outdated, the moderation has always neglected community-favored decisions in favor of their personal preferences. Not only that, but the "moderation" actually comes down to only one person - Mergy - who is very likely a cheater.

Here's a breakdown of this game's moderation team:

• Mergy, who has recently been acused of cheating with very solid evidence, has been the only person who makes decisions in this leaderboard, and all of them prioritizing his or GFC's personal interest, disregarding the community. He can't even be banned right now because he actually controls the leaderboards, even though there's a very, very, very high chance that he has speedran using romhacks.
• GFC is only temporarily out because of a ragequit from a previous drama. He pretty much responds to Mergy's wishes every single time as well.
• Kollin7 is just there for shows, since he does nothing. Considering this game's popularity, it's unconceiveable that the leaderboard is in the hands of only ONE person - who, again, is very likely to be a cheater - and two other people who are blindly colluding with him at all times.

My suggestions for the new moderation team (all super moderators): SSBMStuff, elvencloud, theurnator, gcah2006, megamegalomane92

I'm linking this post to other people from the FM community, even if we disagree on issues within the game, the leaderboards NEED a reform ASAP.
