United StatesMajority of PCs can stay at a stable 60 while consoles can dip to very low 30s. Most runs I have seen currently very rarely dip into below 50s on there runs. PC always has a better advantage over console in majority of games especially since PC also gets the 120 FPS cap as well.

Honestly, no mayter what we do, it will not be 100% fair and people will be unhappy regardless since that what pc always was..if you want records you gonna out the time and money into your equipment to get that fps. Not everyone can run the game at 120 fps constantly so thinking that is “fair” is not 100% accurate and not everyone wants to run at 60..we made then variables to where it doesnt cludder the boards and make unnecessary categories that may end up being dead weight while giving people the freedom to run what they want and enjoy. All of the mods have had several discussions about the game, the fps, the rules and testing for this game..and I can say it has been hella stressful and I know the others will agree. We want this game to accommodate everyone both serious runner and newcomers. You can run at 60-120 or go nuts with your fps on OoBs. Just enjoy the game..enjoy the run and have fun which is what speedrunning is supposed to be. This will be the final post for this board. The decisions have been made and the mods think that we did the best we could to accommodate everything that has happened with this game this opening week. Happy running and let the games begin.
Personally, at this moment and time, the way I sorted the boards is the best option we have currently. If it needs to be changed later down thebroad then so be it
Right now I have OoBs as Misc but if needed it can be easily moved to extended Cat

It as a variable is fine or even something for someone to input themselves etc...Honestly, at this moment this board looks like shit and had a few people tell me that and I agree...it needs to be changed and adjusted ASAP
Personally think the board Toast shown is better and I did the A and B since it would fit on one line when I was designing it but if needed..it can be changed back to the "2nd" thing.The board as it stands does look awful and like a meme

That..and this game isnt that long..re1-3 are some of the most popular re games to run and they are under an hour. This game is around an hour and 30 at the most if you try to run..
Currently, we are not doing Segmented and have no plans on doing it. It isnt stopping you from doing a Segment run on yiur own time to have fun with it. Most people barely run segmented in re games most of the time anyway. Also console and PC are serparate so what you talking about not being able to compete. Many games still have conpetitive console and pc boards.
Eventually we may do an all scenario in the RE2R extended categories and just add all the IGT to make the final time like how the OG RE2 does
The second run for both characters are the “true ending”
I have done G1 Birkin on Hardcore eith 2 knives fairly easily on ps4 pro and pretty consistently too so idk
Once you get used to the game, hardcore will be a bit easier to manage etc. so just practice the bosses and enemies and you should be fine. most things on RE are timed by IGT since it is avaible lol

I see no point in segmented. If you want to do it in your own free time then go for it...Seg is a bit boring to do honestly
There are infinite items in the game that can be unlocked...like in inf. knife and weapons so those will be NG+ items
The DLC items should be in the box...so jsut dont pick them up along with the NG+ items and you should be fine
