Emulator is allowed but it is hidden by default on the leaderboards. The reason for this is because the loading times on EMU are weird/faster.

No. Simply put, there's no point in adding an extraneous category for a portion of the game that's already present in every category already. There's nothing wrong with doing runs yourself for fun, but we attempt to keep the leaderboards as simple and concise as possible.

I'm pretty sure the Wii U inject doesn't work properly? Either way, sadly, since the game was never officially released on the Wii U Virtual Console runs on Wii U would not be allowed.

@JackRG Yes, you can use a GameCube controller on Wii U through homebrew and it's absolutely allowed for runs on the leaderboard!

Generally, runners prefer to use the Gamecube controller to better realize and optimize their mashing.

I’ll answer this as a list:

PAL or JP: Language doesn’t matter, play on anything you own

Digital or Physical: Digital loads faster but the bigger timesave comes from playing on a New3DS

Power-off or Homescreen: This is debatable but it’s generally faster to Power-off because you don’t have to wait for the game to close

You can't "turn the video proof in" if that category doesn't exist; and even if you have a run with video proof that still doesn't mean we're obliged to make a category for it. lol

Not at all, it's really personal preference or whatever you have available!

Nobody is stopping you from running the game the way that you want. If you find it fun/only have time to run only half of the game then do it! You shouldn't need confirmation by having your time placed on a leader board if you truly are having fun playing a game.

Yes it is talking about the USA cartridges. The Wii U VC version of the game patched all the glitches that are listed as "U Only" while also keeping the increased boss health. Therefore the NA Wii U version is the slowest version to play on.

Yes you do need video proof :3
