That's the thing I was trying to determine. Since then I've timed it and it doesn't seem faster.

Here was my route(in case anybody has ideas for a better one):

1.Clip above the Vanish cap gate to Hyrule Field, then to Peach's Castle for FFDMW (Fairy Fountain Death Mountain Warp)

2.Clip into and finish Dodongo's Cavern and Fire Temple as usual, but at the end of Fire Temple, make sure to re-grab the

3.Bob-omb you used to clip through the boss gate, and death warp instead of resetting to keep it.

4.After death warping in Fire Temple, Use FFDMW in the "BOBCRATER" Fairy Fountain, then clip through the left wall back to Lost Woods (same as the current path to Jabu Jabu and Forest Temple).

5.Walk into the left path in Lost Woods after clipping to reset to the entrance in Kokiri, then go to the Deku Tree Magic Gate, use the stored bob-omb from the Fire Temple to clip (making sure to re-grab for on your way back), and finish Deku Tree.

6.After finishing Deku Tree, death warp instead of resetting (most efficient way I found is to use noteblocks, shoot yourself up without cancelling fall damage).

7.Go back to the Deku Tree Magic Gate and do the same clip as before, but backwards, making sure to pick up the bob-omb afterwards.

8.Exit Kokiri Forest through the Vanish Gate then navigate through Hyrule Field to Kakariko Village and into Shadow Temple.

From there, everything is the same as in the usual route, so I didn't bother timing it. Overall this route is about 20-30 seconds slower. All of the extra steps including re-grabbing and doing 2 extra bomb clips took more time than just collecting the 40 coins and using the Magic Gates.

Like I said, I included the route I took in case anybody had some better ideas, but for now I think this is the farthest this idea can go.

Considering how magic pots work (giving you magic even if you don't have the meter unlocked), might it be faster to beat the whole game without using magic meter?

The only time loss I can think of is that you have to do Deku Tree later, since you can't clip through the Magic Gate without a previously defused bob-omb.

If somebody is aware of this and has already timed it, let me know before I take the time doing it myself lol.

Tried it just now and it works fine, thanks!

I strayed away from doing it at first because the tutorial I followed for disabling update prompts highly suggested against factory resetting, though in retrospect that tutorial probably wasn't what I was looking for in the first place.

For the last few weeks I've been practicing All Missions, only to find out yesterday that because of the 1.2.0 update, most of the relevant glitches are near impossible or just patched out.

I've reinstalled the game in an attempt to start running it using 1.0.0, but the game refuses to start unless it's updated. I've tried multiple methods for disabling update prompts, such as editing DNS or using recovery mode, but with every method the game requires to be updated before starting.

Am I just stuck with 1.2.0, or is there something I'm missing?
