Aighto, we've discussed this and agree. There doesn't need to be a glitch/glitchless category. The tl;dr for why is that we don't mind minor tricks or glitches that can be compensated for/don't outright break the game.
In our rules we state that any of the peter pan bugs or flight are not allowed. That's where we are drawing the line on this one. Cheers.
Hey, we've discussed these in the past and ultimately decided each time that there was not a great amount of interest, or that there was too much "level variation" in the runs - that said we haven't revisited this discussion since season 11 with dive to 'X' voyage.
We will discuss it and see what happens!
Put in whatever ship you use, for the raid voyages we don't enforce a pov requirement if you choose S/B/G or solo.
We always ask people to discuss anything they think "could be OP" with the mods, with other runners or use their common sense.
Ladder launch and similar aren't bannable but would be considered glitch category as its quite obviously an unintended momentum bug.
Things like OOB are also glitch, the boundary respawning you at the top of the island is permitted as the devs seemingly intend that to be the respawn point.
Thanks.
no difference for the sake of speedruns, use safer seas or high seas at your leisure
Much like HSFT runs... this sounds awful as for the 100 streak I'm good, been there have crewed with people doing that. It's just simply not fun, becomes more a challenge of avoiding cheaters than anything else.
On top of that you'd have to have constant recording at all times from the moment you start a s/g to 100/1000 run. Literally no breaks... that was 3 weeks of playing for the first people lol.
These videos would be 20-50 hours long for time spent and money earned. Unless you put a cap on it.. at which point you're looking at runs that don't make sense in a speedrunning community.
