its possible that no one has made a speedrun of the game and submitted it to speedrun.com to be a moderator of that particular leaderboard.

if you happen to have a completed run of this game then i could suggest you submit the run to have its leaderboard on speedrun.com here:

best of luck and cheers!

unfortunately speedrun.com disallows the distribution of ROMs, ISOs, WADs, etc on this plateform. however i am sure with some luck and a bit of searching on google or bing you should fine a reliable source for your rom.

my advice for you is to adhere the rules for emulated speedruns, these rules are different among communities. some use different emulators to even rom versions so do some research and make sure everything is good to go.

as for mario 64, while it maybe a popular title, i dont know much regarding their terms so my suggestion would be to join their discord server or forum and ask those sorts of questions there.

cheers!

welcome to speedrun.com! as for a video game of your choosing, id recommend choosing a game you are familiar with or enjoy a lot of. you dont have to know glitches to run a game, and you can practically learn the route to any game on this website if there happens to be guides and a discord community behind it.

hello there capo, and welcome to speedrun.com! im glad to have you here and hope to see your runs on the leaderboard someday. you inquired about an arabic speedrunning community? as far as im concerned, there is a pretty diverse amount of people from around the world on speedrun.com, but if you want, you can search runners by country via this link: https://www.speedrun.com/users

from there you can locate which runners youd like to be friends with or whatever makes you comfortable to find people who also speak the same language as you. it can be daunting to join a website that primarily is in english (at least to my knowledge it is, i could be wrong.)

anyways, hope you enjoy your stay and cheers!

welcome to the community! i hope you enjoy your stay and also hope to see your runs on the leaderboard some day!

as for the game you are seeking to run, i think your best bet is to do some research on the games, find out which setup is most comfortable for you and learn the tricks and or glitches needed to do said runs, unless you are doing glitchless runs.

unfortunately, im not really knowledgeable with any of these games, but the most popular are mario64 and golden eye from what i know. if none of these games suit you, might i suggest picking up star fox 64? pretty easy to learn run, but hard to master ( like any game haha)

welcome to the speedrunning community! i hope you enjoy your stay and hope to see your runs on the leaderboards someday!

you mentioned you are looking for recording software that is free to use. a program called open broadcast software, or obs studio which is a free recording and live streaming program that works on windows, mac, and linux respectively.

you can find the download here: https://obsproject.com/

nice to see you here, and welcome to the speedrunning community here at speedrun.com! i hope you do well and certainly hope to see you on the leaderboards some day!

regarding your comments about emulation and controllers, it depends on the rulings of the category and the game you happen to be running. as long as youre not given a significant advantage over other players then it should be ok.

cheers!

im unsure what exactly this would be for, this idea seems better suited for a marathon based on there being multiple games with different rules, timings.

@Timmiluvs

for the basis of more modernized games yes, i will agree with you. however, there are a good deal of communities that disallow emulation. its only a precaution, accurate or not that can be the case.

inherently theres no one stopping you from running a game the way you want to, whether or not the community accepts your run is up to them. for clarification, i was not stating that emulation is frowned upon or not allowed on majority of games.

most communities rule out emulation due to cheating, having to monitor what emulators people are using, if theyre using the same rom, etc. its more of a hassle than it really seems on the outside.

as far as im aware, the ones im commonly watching have their own emulation catagory section or have emulated runs hidden by default.

firstly welcome to the speedrunning community, i hope you excel in whatever game you currently speedrun and hope to see them on the leaderboards some day!

secondly, you are able to record and or stream with any software or program youd like, as well as any capture card hardware or screen capture software. the only thing you need to make sure is that your recording is within compliance with the conditions of the community you are within for the game you speedrun and the terms for speedruns.com

thirdly, most communities commonly do not allow the usage of emulation however there are some minor cases where they do, and or have their own emulator catagory. my suggestion to you is to make sure you follow your community set guidelines if they allow the use of emulation for said game.

hope you enjoy your stay and once again, welcome c:

hi everyone, im fairly new into researching about the minish cap and have been considering picking the game up. my only issue with this is i am unsure if this community would allow a third party controller made by hori.

hori made a gameboy player controller, gives a larger d-pad and in similar design looks like a super famicom controller. on the box it does have an official seal of nintendo which makes me believe it should be fine, but just to make sure before i even consider running the game i wanted to confirm the controller was ok to use.

note: the controller does not have any turbo buttons and plugs into the gamecube as if it was a gamecube controller. the only extra button it does add is a select button.
