There's no need to be over the top - runs get accepted when you approach the mods on the Discord. Realistically, very very few people check this website several times a day and, though I understand it may be frustrating to be patient, there's no need to go aggro when someone doesn't verify your runs straight away.
I told one for you so it should be fine now.
If you are running more than 1 run at once, you have to use RTA if we are to count the menuing inbetween levels. However, due to there not being a load remover (which is important because loads vary between computer), we could have the option of a "Sum of IGT" times, where we add together the times at the end of all 13 missions. Although the time will be shorter than the RTA due to not counting the time between menuing, it is, until the load remover is made, the fairest timing method to use right now.
Sorry, typo, there is no load remover. It would be an additional column alongside the real time so there's no real downside to adding one.
As of right now, there is load-remover for this game so it would make sense there's a "sum of IGT" column for All Missions (and Hardcore version) so that there is no advantage/disadvantage between players?
People want to run it but all of the mods are completely inactive, basically holding the game hostage.
The pseudo-cutscene where the trophy appears and rotates around on the screen is when the time may end. If you want (and it would be nice) you can join the Discord to talk a bit easier in.
Upon some investigation: I have discovered that wolfzone skipping is only possible if the game is being run at a very low FPS. This will be an introduction of Any% No Wolfzone Skips (Any% No WS), in addition to the classic Any%. Outside software may be used to lower FPS, but for this purpose only.
Additionally, end timing will now be on when the final textbox is Continued, and not when Shepherd is no longer visible, as this can change between devices.
Load times are yet to be expunged, as a load remover doesn't currently exist.
The current problem with the game is that there are only 5 official cbe maps. A larger repertoire of maps would be far more interesting for everyone and there's no real downside to adding more maps.
I've done a little digging, and found two suitable maps that could potentially be added to the map pool with a "community" tags on it:
- cbe_redqueen_b3 (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=922996745&searchtext=)
- cbe_skyscraper_beta1 (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=897020411&searchtext=)
These are the only two maps I have looked at so far so I'll probably respond to this post with more potential candidates.
Something like this would be good, seeing as we have a small amount of levels anyway. Get in the discord so we can actually chat tho.
Makes sense for a mod to own it. I'm just some random guy.
Right now, the mods for this game are really inactive so I doubt they'll do that any time soon. They haven't even put up a discord or ILs yet.
It should say that it is mandatory in the rules. I didn't know until I checked these forums.
This should really have ILs and I'm surprised it doesn't.
Having a discord would really incentivise new people (like myself) to pick this up.
https://discord.gg/4W7Mbnd @Chitch This should work? Additional bots are allowed due to some of the levels being very hard to complete without additional assistance. It is split from no additional bots so don't worry about that tho.
Cheers mate. I'll try and get some times on the leaderboard when I can (which probably isn't too soon).
Is there a discord specifically for speedrunning this game? I'm unsure if I want to start running it and would like to see how the community is like (although you all seem pretty chill from Fitter's streams).
