Alright, my ps2 copy came in and I did some testing. I tried the "test" file name using a memory card , as well as without a memory card but both were a bust. It really doesn't make sense...
I think the test mode possibly being ps2 exclusive would make sense, but I did see the comment about it working on gamecube emu... very odd. Regardless, I just ordered a ps2 version disc on amazon to do some testing.
I was using a game cube copy played on a wii console. No luck. I'm really confused by it took the guy two tries to get it in the video, what could be changing in between attempts?
Hey guys, I've been interested in speedruning this game for a while, but something has been holding me back. When I first became interested in this game's speedrun, I looked for glitches online. I found this video: The guy is talking about something he calls "test mode" which gives him the strongest scary face right from the start. I haven't gotten it to work, but this would eliminate cookie collecting. I'm not sure if the video is fake, but maybe you guys will find something.
This is a video of a small clip that I found that I think saves time in all categories if done quickly.
Set up by jumping directly upward a small distance away from wall. Then zip into the wall when Stephen's mouth is about level with the other side of the wall.
Pressing the y key as soon as the screen pops up skips it.
TrenteR_TR, after testing torpidsloth is right. You can simply buy copper, throw it on the ground, and then pick it up.
Does anyone know what triggers Clint's cutscene in which he gives you the blueprints to the furnace?
Does anyone know how Raarz seemingly is able to wake up at his door and almost completely skip the "saving..." screen?
