While I was a mod at Google Minesweeper, I've rejected at least 5 "world record" runs of people just dying in less than a second.
"Runs without a timer will not be verified." at https://www.speedrun.com/liquidators . The absolute laziness.

Having timer as a requirement in the rules just tells me the moderators are lazy (except load times)
Hypixel series (Hypixel SkyBlock, Hypixel Server Parkour, Hypixel SkyWars, etc) has seen multiple updates that affected speedrunning, mods just wipe the category every time it happens. Not the right approach in my opinion, sometimes when a category gets outdated it gets archived or moved to Category Extensions and then archived there.
From the Moderation guide: speedrun.com/knowledgebase/moderation-rules "The site discourages usage of a % sign after an arbitrary category name such as Tutorial%. Many users dislike this naming convention. Common uses such as any%, low%, and 100% are acceptable." Also related to TAS% from the Site Rules: https://www.speedrun.com/knowledgebase/site-rules "Tool-assisted emulator features such as save-states, re-recording, or frame advance are not allowed. Game memory must not be manipulated or monitored with outside tools during runs (For example: Emulator RAM Watch, Cheat Engine). Exceptions can be made on a community basis for convenience. Examples of these conveniences might be item trackers or info HUDs for stream viewers or auto-splitters. These should not include information that would be unknown to the runner. The game itself must not be altered or controlled with outside tools. Exceptions can be made on a community basis (e.g., character creation scripts, logo/cutscene removal dlls, etc.)"
Even outside of the rules range, TAS is a flawed category. Anyone can submit the run to the top of the leaderboard here just by playing back the current best TAS.
Speedrun.com is mentioned on Wikipedia:
IP bans solve absolutely nothing. Many people may use the same IP - two speedrunners in the same family with only one being the 'bad person'. Many people have shifting IP adresses that eventually move to another person, which wouldn't be pleased with this. Many people also use 4G/5G mobile Internet, which in some countries uses the same IP for most users (like in my hometown). Some use VPNs, possibly even to avoid government censorship in places like China, which may have the same exact IP. That would harm them all because of one weirdo.
Ip bans do not solve any problems. They only cause problems that would need to be fixed later. Maybe new users with an account that is less than a week old should not be allowed to create more than one forum post per hour. That would force spammers to create a new account every time they wanted to post, which makes them more annoyed.
@KonitamaFanboy the only thing in need of fix is your attitude.
