Also Doodles Launcher developer note: I'm really sorry for Tsubaraya performance, it's a known issue. I have already sent a file to replace it (in the Doodles launcher channel, discord). You just need to swap that file. It will be fully fixed for 2.2 release tho.
I literally can't tell if mods are trolling or they are serious.

I'm not sure how exactly would you speedrun it. lightning up all of the torches takes like 5 seconds. I would be against it.
Time starts upon selecting "yes" on A NEW SAVE FILE CREATION MENU or when clicking the orange play button on the title screen. Time ends when the border of the final sports cutscene disappears (the border around the screen will quickly disappear and reappear).
I also recommend watching top runs with timers and just seeing when they are paused.
I just draw all of the symbols on my notes before the run. And just put dots/lines next to them (prison kinda style lines) to count them and note them asap.
You don't even need to complete memory cards puzzle. You just need to write down how many of each symbol there are.
Yup, just few "random" lines to distinguish them later.
