I had this issue briefly when transitioning to a tablet, it may be because the lowest levels of the game only allow songs to work as tutorials - you may either have to play from the selection or play more songs but it's just a suggestion.
After a certain level I think songs don't reset at 3 stars as @KilleDragon mentioned

Hi so I don't run this game, I may get into it because it's good fun but I'd noticed the moderators are fairly inactive, I also checked how many pending runs there are for this game with the speedrun Discord bot and currently, there are 66 full game runs pending.
I'd recommend someone who runs tvot frequently to contact @Hugh about the moderation.

From the way you've described it, and the audit log being no good, try finding the runner's channel or reaching out to them about the video. If the run was definitely deleted rather than lost in the re-organisation then the record holder probably doesn't want it on the leaderboard anymore/deleted their account.
Probably a tie between someone submitting a run on Mineplex (Minecraft server) that was the world record recorded using their phone screen recorder, with their own voice overlayed (I believe their YouTube was terminated for this amongst other things).
And it's gotta be April Fools submissions (mainly rick rolls or 999hr inputs), the TABS community really likes them for some reason :)

Scratch is an area of game acceptance that has been hugely tightened recently, prior quite a few games were accepted which just isn't the case anymore.
Regarding your first point, if the moderator has been inactive for years then make a removal request on this forum if you're also unable to contact them: https://www.speedrun.com/the_site/thread/dueac For your other note I'd try posting the question in Streaming and Recording equipment's threads, livesplit is very low maintenance so you likely shouldn't have any problem running it on a laptop alongside your playstation, the specific game might not require you to have a timer overlay at all either so it'd be best to check it out with them.
