Well they won't do away with adverts, but hey, nothing to stop you from using an adblocker
@Matse007 c'mon man, I mean you're right but it's not a good look for a newcomer
I've been aware of speedrunning for many years, ever since discovering a snowboarding game from 2000 had its own leaderboard for times. But almost certainly the first time I considered actually speedrunning myself was after watching this GDQ run by DrTChops: I watched it again just now actually and it's still brilliant, discovering how broken and impressive these runs can get.
The game is an auto-scroller, the time saves for Any% are in the menus and not retrying levels.
Playing games that I loved before learning speed starts for them

This isn't the first speedrun I ever did, but it was the first run I did with the express idea of submitting something to this website - the category allows for many different glitches and I didn't really use any of them, at the time it was great fun and I just wanted to have a run on the leaderboard, and I'm sure people here can sympathise with thinking 'I'm going to keep doing this'.
Really hard to say one song throughout my entire life but at the moment it's gotta be this
Mango Man top lad, as always
