they could also just have an answer given to them

necroposting isn't a bad thing at all if there's a meaningful contribution, you aren't required to evaluate every post @SkittlesCat83

with the exception of the showcasing custom maps, which can usually be done over discord, all the heavy lifting and time has already been put into hosting level times on this very website https://www.speedrun.com/excitebike_nes/levels

The traffic issue I understand but I'd still love to view statistics of the site and of games narrowed by country and region

This has been asked about many times over the last year~ in various threads, to no avail. I'm begging anyone at Elo who reads this to consider or at least respond to this post, regarding forum moderators.

It's not reasonable for one person to have the workload every day banning new bots that invade the forums with links or copied posts that get edited, later on, currently, they're easy to spot and a huge problem. Right now I'd bet the threads below this are created by a red-named, two-part name account with a post that WILL be edited maliciously.

I and many others would happily volunteer to do this, the forum looks worse than I can remember seeing it, and through no fault of star, bots can persist for days at a time.

Cool finds! Good to see my dear Piano Tiles 2 mentioned for having a stupid number of songs that most people never unlock ;) One thing I'll mention though is Phasmophobia has been through leaderboard hell as far as I've been in that community, the leaderboard is constantly invalidated by game changes and additions that demand it gets the categories archived (as opposed to deleting the runs) so the high number does make some sense for it.

oh what I meant was that @RWhiteGoose might just have helped with the idea and community outreach of the site when it was being set up rather than actual development or moderation.

That'd be great to add if you could, @Act_ Some former site staff (I don't necessarily know whether they were a FM or CM or Admin) who aren't listed under the about section include: @Daravae @garadas21 @kirkq @Liv @RWhiteGoose (might just've been theory) @SgtKabukiman @Gyoo could also put @lewisandspark as former Elo

in Australia you can both not work and pay for assignments to be done at the same time, I have discovered

I'm of the opinion this is a mistake from Elo, there was a period where if you lived in Spain/UK/Canada, you couldn't adjust your leaderboard flag settings from the UK flag, but everyone who did so before this change happened (where they removed leaderboard flag specific settings) were fine to keep theirs. It displayed on your profile if you had a flag as 'Basque Country' with a flag, rather than 'Basque Country, Spain'.

Then in this last update, they just re-assigned these buggy ex-leaderboard flags to their overarching country as a cheap fix. Really needs to be changed though because it obviously worked so well for so long.

Let me just say as someone who's been to a few football matches and been on a few trips, Elo have incurred the wrath of the Scots, Northern Irish, and the Welsh, a very poor move indeed....

I decided I'd rather change it to the Welsh flag upon moving there and I now can't, it's hardly the same thing as people living in Basque Country in Spain who'd rather identify away from Spain but I've continually asked Elo to restore this feature just after the leaderboard flag setting was scrapped, now it's completely broken and they've got to restore it.

Also yes @KilleDragon it's all sub-countries, a year or so ago if you set your country as United Kingdom, Spain or Canada you had the option to use a local country leaderboard flag @Matse007 , such a hugely weird thing for them to remove.

if you search MichaelXD on the search bar you get several accounts with a number tacked on the end - how many did they make xD

Looking at this board, it will be flagged for deletion in a week because the moderator has done nothing for the board. No rules, categories, pictures, guides etc.. @LineXiZ if you feel confident and knowledgeable enough to moderate this game, submit a support hub request, because this user, despite logging on, has done nothing for the board, I suspect site staff will sympathise with your problem. If successful please check this page out https://www.speedrun.com/knowledgebase/editing-a-leaderboard

By the way, I'm not advocating for people to bend the rules to pursue moderation positions, but in this case the game requester doesn't seem to be bothered in the slightest

Make sure as well, not to require 'exact player count' for the category if it can be done with fewer than the limit because it makes it impossible to submit runs with less than the limit - trust me I've made that error.

Maybe the abbreviations are an improvement actually, I suppose it popularises the terms and it'll be less cumbersome to communicate with.

About RaggedDan
I run many games special to me for one reason or another, sr.c's top-level ownership could improve a lot but they've done a fair bit well :)
