How so? At the least, multiplayer games would not work, speedrunning requires consistency.

Any framerule improvement would be major, but no WR runs have used it effectively in 8-1 or 4-2, as it is (currently) too difficult for RTA.

Small optimization, perhaps change the title/hover text for rejected runs on the runs awaiting verification page to display rejection reason instead of run comments? Might save a few clicks.

Favicons should change that image, but haven't worked for years.

Capture cards specifically capture video for computers. What you need is a video camera.

Try a smartphone or something.

Those are obsolete runs, so they aren't ranked. Ranks indicate the players with the best times, not runs themselves.

In-game timers can be useful, especially when they automatically remove loading times (so players on different platforms can easily compare times). For a good implementation of such a timer, I'd take a look at Celeste. Don't know specifics, but something like that would probably save a little hassle by those who develop autosplitters. Probably a non-issue, but never hurts to have one.

This might be personal preference, but I'd choose option 1. Eventually, all routes become very optimized, so you always get the experience you see with option 2. But having more possibilities opens up the potential for multiple routes, or the discovery of new tactics, which bring excitement to speedgames. Plus, from a casual perspective, more routes increases replay value.

Don't know anything about the method, but since it's still emulation, it's not going to be any more "legit" than your previous runs. Supposing that this method is unofficial, there will be no difference, and it may be worse since it may be more difficult to verify the emulator accuracy using such an uncommon method.

I haven't heard of this existing, which I can see might be the case because human splits are inaccurate, and you're almost never going to get the same time down to the millisecond. If someone coded for a range of values, though, it could hypothetically work.

The solution would be to use the above link if the moderator rejected the run purely because of wanting to stay on top, and not for valid concerns. Most moderators aren't that bad, but there are was around it if they are.

Never hurts to try a submission.

@snailboy32 Try contacting the current mod first, if you're able to. With those contact links, that might be difficult...

And if you ever hope to become a moderator, you'll have to add your own.

A sane moderator realizes mistakes occur. That's part of the job, and testing moderators doesn't happen with every game.

Visual novels are also not being accepted, so I'm going to guess no.

I use Avidemux, it works well. Still, make sure when you're timing your runs that you're starting and ending on the correct frames.

Needed an avatar image, figured I'd create one myself. Started simple and edited it over time.
