This was my favorite NES game before speedrunning it and I think it was partially because of the instant kill nature of the game. It's quite satisfying. And there's actually checkpoints...anyways speedrunning the game makes the instant kill aspect more fun because you actually wield it better. Quick climbing and mashing for the final bosses are extremely satisying mechanics. Damage boosts are fun and there's tons of them. I like that the RNG is actually entirely predictable (almost).

Was a real shame when it got banned. The other emulators that work with the auto splitter just don’t cut it (if you want to stream)
