After doing some testing between a PS2 90k model and PCSX2 emulator, the timed saved on loads on emulator was so big, that I decided to split the boards between Console and Emulator. The testing run is the now current WR of emulator 1:32:41 and that run is not nearly as good as Cobra's current console WR.

During ESA Summer 2024, SixRock and I cooked up a new banger category called 19 Jumps. This is the lowest amounts of jumps possible to complete the game. It utilizes a texture clip in level 5 and a 19 Jumps only strat in level 2 proudly named "Tom & Gierry". There is no logical explanation for this name. 19 Jumps will be a main category.
Due to the arbitrariness surrounding 10x Any%, it will be moved from being a main category to miscellaneous.

Previously the discord server tied to this game has been the "LEGO Mobile & Web Games Series" discord, but that server's management is... not the best and the BFH room is FUBAR. It's time.
I have no aspiration to make it the craziest or biggest discord, but just a place to gather the community with no intention of it being actively used. The servers main function is to ping community members when there is either a community group photo at a event or there is a showcase of the run.

Hello everyone.
There will be a new requirement to use the game version with the built in IGT (In game timer) for any runs sub 57.000. This means that if you get a 56.967 or better you need to use the newest version. This is only applicable to Any% and Co-op Any%.
This change will take full effect starting April 1st (no joke).
You can find the new version under resources in either "SPEEDRUN & PRACTICE VERSIONS V1.5" or "SPEEDRUN VERSION ONLY".
Everyone using this new version that wants to edit the text in game will have to make sure the end time is fully visable.*
Runs submitted after 1st of April with a better time then 57s 000ms and found not using the new version, will be rejected.

Hello everyone,
All runs will be retimed using 30 fps. When the game was decompiled it was discovered/confirmed that the game runs at 30 fps. Some runs on the board was retimed with 30 fps, but a lot of them were retimed at 60 fps which caused the retiming to add on "half-frames".
This change might change some placements, but the only major change is one instance where I beat Lazar's record with a 58.350. This time is not retimed correctly upon being retimed with a "half-frame". I am not sure what happened in the retiming there, but this change will sort that out.

New level 6 strat found by InsomniacNintendo.
I have compared this to the current community gold and it is the exact same speed. This strat could perhaps end up saving a few frames, but from my limited testing, I am unsure if its easier compared to current strats.
Many people played BFH at ESA Winter 2024 and some people had a lot of fun playing any% in co-op. So we are adding it.

Not really, but all runs that is submitted after 20/01/2021 will be changed from Webᴇᴍᴜ -> Flash. All runs previous to this date will have the platform listed as "Web".
December 31st 2020, Adobe ended support for Flash and Chrome was the last to remove it on the 20/01/2021. For a short period we were not able to show our force, but golebiewsky managed to download the game and make it playable through the Adobe Flash Player software. At the time we did not have the "Flash" platform option available and therefore set all new runs to Webᴇᴍᴜ.
This is a new day and a brand new era of speedrunning. We will embrance the "Flash" platform option and destroy the living bad word out of the subway surfer community.

There has been a change in moderation and the standards for both submission and timing of runs have been changed.
These changes will be accounted for on all runs submitted after 17th of February 2021. (All top three times will be adjusted)
Change to submission: -Twitch.tv/Trovo.live videos/clips are no longer accepted. Videos of runs must be uploaded to youtube. (For exporting Twitch highlights/clips to youtube, check out this guide LINK -Video must include you pressing the "play" button and also a few seconds after hitting the end time requirement (check individual leaderboard rules for info)
Change to timing runs: -Moderators will now time the runs from the frame the start menu disappears. -Ending time for 10 Deaths will be the frame when the game zooms in on the screen after dying. -Ending time for other categories will be the frame you hit needed mass/get 1st/10th place.

I was made aware that there is different difficulties that you can select. This changes the game enough that we split the leaderboard. All runs prior to 16th of February 2021 is counted as Easy because thats the default.

Is it allowed to run on a third party retro console from ebay? Like one of those who can play nes, nes and sega.
Info: So I felt like doing some degenerate timing. I timed some different ways of doing level 1. Just remember that from the fastest to the second fastest its just a few frames + that you might get better/worse timing on the jumps.
Verdict: Fastest strat is doing a delayed double jump and then do another double jump from the middle part into the portal.
Slowest strat is doing a single jump and then doing a double jump ledge clip into a double jump.
